“Very negative experience. I live 2 hours away from this location. I found a vehicle online that I wanted to purchase. Due to winter storms, I had asked of the vehicle could be transferred to a location closer to me. I offered to put down a deposit in good faith I would purchase. First the other location told me it was available then it wasn’t. Then I was finally told they would transport the vehicle if I paid an extra $1,700… on top of that Bergstrom offered me $3,900 for a trade in on my vehicle & the Neenah location would only offer me $1,400 for a vehicle that doesn’t even have 100,000 miles on it. CRAZY. This company is very deceptive, and we’re willing to lose a sale in its entirety over it.”

“Car buying is stressful enough without added complications, and unfortunately our experience with Russ Darrow Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram on Friday, January 9th was extremely disappointing.
We found a vehicle listed online at $13,605, which fit both our budget and needs. We scheduled a test drive for Saturday, January 10th at 9:00 a.m. However, late Friday morning we were contacted by a salesperson who indicated there was significant interest in the vehicle and encouraged us to come in that same day to avoid missing out. My husband rearranged his work schedule and drove over an hour to the dealership.
After test driving, my husband decided to move forward with the purchase. At that point, he was presented with a final price of $18,239.11, which was a significant increase from the advertised price. Upon reviewing the breakdown, we discovered the price included $2,299 for Xzilon paint protection and $499 for security etching, neither of which we requested.
When I spoke directly with the salesperson by phone, I clearly stated we were not interested in these add-ons. I was told they are applied to all vehicles. I expressed concern that this practice misrepresents advertised pricing if mandatory add-ons are not disclosed upfront. After questioning the pricing, the salesperson attempted to negotiate by asking if we would agree to a $17,000 price, which we declined. They then removed the security etching and reduced the Xzilon charge to $699, which we again declined. We were eventually told the add-on could be removed entirely, but that the vehicle would no longer carry a warranty related to it, which was acceptable to us.
While we fully understand taxes, title, and licensing fees are standard, a nearly $5,000 increase from the advertised price due primarily to unwanted add-ons is unreasonable. Reluctantly, due to our immediate need for a vehicle, we agreed to move forward at a price closer to what we originally expected.
After 2 1/2 hours at the dealership and after my husband had signed the paperwork, we were then informed that the dealership did not have the title for the vehicle. This was extremely concerning, as the vehicle was actively listed for sale online and presented as ready for purchase. This is illegal.
This entire experience felt disorganized, misleading, and unprofessional. Significant time was wasted, and the lack of transparency around pricing and vehicle readiness was unacceptable.
Ultimately, we chose to purchase from another dealership and had a straightforward, respectful, and transparent experience elsewhere. I strongly encourage prospective buyers to shop elsewhere.”

“Questionable sales practices. Once an agreed upon price is set they throw in the final doc $3k in extra items that they say they have done to vehicle that they push on the customer to pay. Sales rep did not complete a rundown of the vehicle and how items function. Did not discuss the app that connects with the vehicles health. Promised items ithat were included only to make you pay for after the fact. ( ie second set of keys). When you experience other dealerships that go the extra mile for you unlike Russ Darrow. You know that you will never return to another one. They will not get my business for future purchases.
Update on 1/2/26 Received message from Justin to help resolve my complaint's. A resolution was agreed upon. Received an additional key as originally promised and protective coating was reapplied with an upgrade to platinum plan. I recommended that more transparency moving forward would be improved customer service.”

“I would never go back to this location or any other Russ Darrow after my experience. One day after I purchased my vehicle, my tire light came on and my oil stated that it was only at 16%. All the information on my paperwork shows that the tires were recently changed and that an oil change was recently completed which makes me think it was a lie. Everything was fine while I did the test drive and signed the paperwork. It wasn’t until after they serviced the vehicle and the next day that I noticed the issues of the 16%oil and the low tire. I’ve only had this vehicle for 7 days and I already have issues. I was also told that I had to purchase another key for $400 because they only provided me with one key after I didn’t sign the extended warranty. Was never told that I needed to sign anything for an extra key. I was told that I can get a free key and was told that I could get a email but since I didn’t get the extended warranty that covers it I needed to pay. The person who showed me around and did the test drive was great but everybody after her was absolutely horrible. It took over 3 hours just to sign paperwork and get out of there with the vehicle even though I was pre-approved by my credit union. I called to schedule “free” my oil change one week after purchasing my car and the man who answered in servicing had a terrible attitude. I canceled my appointment and I will never return here. The customer service is not good and it needs major work. I will definitely go elsewhere when I have to purchase another vehicle. I’m happy with my vehicle but not happy with the service I received.”
