“I purchased my Subaru WRX here back at the end of December. When I did the test drive I could smell the clutch and based on previous experience with these cars knew that meant it was on its way out. I informed them it was smelly and slipping in the higher gears and they flatly told me I was wrong. I explained exactly when it was slipping and asked them to take a look as I liked the car as a whole. They called me the next day to tell me that their service manager and sales manager took it on a drive and didn’t smell anything or experience the clutch slipping. I came back and got the car with the knowledge the clutch needed to be done, everyone at the dealership told me I was wrong. Two weeks after getting the car my new clutch arrived and we replaced it. The clutch plate springs were so worn from the throw out bearing that you couldn’t touch it with your bare hands without getting cut, the flywheel was warped and heat cracked with no friction material on the clutch disc- so the clutch was on its way out, and soon based on its condition. If I wasn’t so vigilant it could have left me on the side of the road. I believe they overlooked my concerns because I’m a young woman who wouldn’t appear to have knowledge regarding vehicles. The financing procedures were standard, although all computer screens were in plain view so I could see my approval (and others). I got a very nice car and am very happy with it, just not happy with how my concerns were handled!”

When I had second thoughts about removing the car care package after purchasing the vehicle, they walked me through the pros and cons of keeping it but in the end did not make me feel bad for moving forward with my decision when I went in to remove it.
