“I found this dealership through car gurus. I was looking for a specific older car that was 1 prior owner and no accidents. They had exactly what I was looking for and even slightly below fair market value. My experience with the sales associate was good. He always answered my calls and texts and had good communication. I drove 7 hours to this dealer to pick up the vehicle. The condition was even better than I expect from the pictures online. The purchase process was smooth and easy and the employees were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They had a great selection of other vehicles in their lot as well. Overall it was a good experience and I got what I wanted.”

“Mr Paul was great and very quick. I was in and out in about 2 hrs with my new to me 2015 f150. He did the haggling with the finance company for me. I’d recommend UWM for anyone looking for a quality used car or truck.”

“I purchased a used 2014 Mercedez-Benz GL 63 from United Wholesale Motors on September 26, 2025, and my experience has been deeply disappointing and concerning from start to finish. Before finalizing the purchase, I explicitly informed Paul at the dealership about noticeable suspension issues—the vehicle was pulling to the right—and a low tire pressure warning on the rear passenger tire. I was assured these problems would be fully addressed before I took possession of vehicle the next day.
When I returned the next day to pick up the vehicle, the tire pressure issue had not been resolved, and the vehicle had not been cleaned or inspected further. This was my first indication that the dealership’s promises were not being honored.
Within a couple hours of driving the vehicle, more serious problems emerged. The engine began stuttering intermittently, and the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle’s handling was poor, and I suspected worn struts were causing unsafe driving conditions as when I drove into the city on imperfect roads is when I noticed the clunking sounds and excessive bounce on the front end of the vehicle. I had the vehicle read with an engine light code reader, and the report confirmed a cylinder 5 misfire due to a faulty injector and ignition coil faults. I promptly shared these diagnostic results with the dealership.
Despite multiple follow-ups, the dealership’s response has been obsolete. The vehicle was taken to their mechanic’s shop was held for one week before I was asked to retrieve it—without any repairs being completed or a clear explanation with the check engine still illuminated. This lack of action left me with a car that was and still unsafe and unreliable.
In addition to these mechanical issues, I faced problems with the key fob, which frequently failed to start the engine on the first try, sometimes requiring several attempts which Paul did correct when advised trouble starting car due to low key fob battery. To make matters worse, I discovered a nail embedded in one of the tires during this period, which explained the multiple slow leaks in the tire further compromising safety and raising serious concerns about the dealership’s maintenance standards.
Throughout this ordeal, there has been no communication from United Wholesale Motors. Promised updates from Paul never received, and no clear timeline for repairs was ever provided. I sent a certified letter outlining all diagnostic reports and the unresolved issues, yet the dealership has failed to offer a satisfactory resolution or even communicate.
Given the severity and persistence of these defects, the ongoing safety risks, and the dealership’s failure to fulfill their obligations, I am currently pursuing a full refund for a defective vehicle. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend United Wholesale Motors to anyone seeking a reliable, safe vehicle or reputable customer service.
This situation has caused me significant stress, financial inconvenience, and concern for my safety. Due to the lack of customer service and willingness to resolve safety concerns I will now be submitting a complaint to the secretary of state’s motor vehicle dealer licensing board, the state’s attorney general’s consumer protection division, and pursue legal action to retrieve a full refund at small claims court for a defective vehicle. I hope the dealership will take responsibility for their vehicles and improve their customer service in the future. F.Y.I this business is not BBB accredited!
**UPDATE** after having vehicle properly inspected the vehicle has battery voltage issues, a leak, the misfire as previously referenced, as well as the control arm bushings which was the worn strut sounds I was referencing. Bad control arm bushings: clunking or squeaking noises, vibrations, and poor handling such as a car pulling to one side and a shaky steering wheel.
United Wholesale Motors will communicate, since they don't want to deal with the customer/consumer directly then it will be court as soon as we can get Ms. Reena Shah served.”

“We had a great experience at UWM with Paul. He was responsive, and prompt. He sent me reminders before our meeting time and he was ready when we got there. We have had our truck a week now and we are still very happy with it. It was just as it was described.”
