“Bad experience at every corner. Lies, expensive, delays and lack of communication. Have since heard bar reviews from my coworkers about this location. Someone rear ended me and ran so I came here for my repair. Steven was taking care of my car. Then initial duration of the repair was supposed to last 10 business days. There was an exhaust part they told me was “discontinued” so Steven said it would take slightly longer. After 10 days I started calling daily for an update and no one could tell me anything about my car and Steven was never available. My insurance only covers 30 days of a rental car. This repair took around 45 days. Did not get into contact with Steven until close to that 30 day mark. Fortunately for some of the time I had access to the car for some of those days over 30 days. For the 5 days I did have a rental Steven told me multiple times he would reimburse it and never did and eventually stopped returning my messages. This whole proses cause me great frustration. All this plus more. I have never experienced such poor customer service from any establishment in any industry ever. PS: when they “detailed” my car afterwards thy left stuff all over the exterior.”

“Loved our sales man JT. But not thrilled with Dawson kratzchmar. I told him 2 times we didn't need the gap insulation but somehow talked my husband into it. Now he regrets it too. He was way to pushy. So if you go there ask for someone else. If we go back I won't deal with him again. I'm sure he got a kick back for pushing the extra insurance. If it wasn't for him I would of given it 5 stars”

“Got $2000 worth of work done on my car. When I brought my car in none of my rims had a scratch on them. None of my check engine lights were on. I got my car back. I’ve got big scratches not in circles but straight lines from one side to the other on my rim. I also had a check engine light on with three different codes one saying my airbag doesn’t work anymore! Another one saying my antilock brakes don’t work anymore! And the other one saying my variable valve timing isn’t doing my exhaust timing anymore! Part of the work they did they had to remove my transmission. I came back a day later to have them find out what was going on with my car. I sat there for five hours for them to inspect it. And I was told that two of those codes were probably some safety thing from the valve timing thing not working. And they asked for mechanic about the room and he said he didn’t do it. I will never bring any of my vehicles to this dealership or any dealership with the Gates name on it ever again. I could’ve went to several different local shops with ASE certified people who have multiple five star reviews and saved $600. Last time I think going to a dealership and paying the extra money for a job done better because I’m driving a Chevy and they have Chevy certified mechanics who basically are trained by Chevy to fix your car. I should’ve went to the larger local shop with certified mechanics. Not only well I’m not bring a vehicle there to be serviced ever again. But I was about to trade this car in come bring them by a new vehicle. They will never get me to buy a car from them either.”

“I’ve worked with several people at Gates Chevy World on McKinley Ave in the past, and they’ve always been helpful, kind, and professional. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Johnny was completely unacceptable. He was cold from the moment I arrived and made me feel like I was a burden. The team performed a diagnosis on my car but didn’t fix anything. When I got the car back, it had a knocking sound, and we later discovered disconnected hoses after running our own diagnosis at home. I called Johnny to address these concerns, and he was rude and dismissive on the phone. This entire situation feels like an attempt to push unnecessary repairs on me. I’m extremely disappointed and do not recommend working with Johnny. This experience was nothing like the great service I’ve had at this dealership before.”

“I bought a 2022 Chevrolet equinox from Gates Chevy world back in August. I was shown a clean Carfax report and told multiple times car was 1 owner and no accidents. After having car few days my mechanic friend noticed that front and rear bumpers color did not exactly match rest of car. I became suspicious that car had been wrecked. Few days later the change oil and air filter alarm on dash went off so I went back to gates chevy world to find out why oil and air filter wasn't changed before sale. The service writer printed me a internal report with all services done to the car since they owned it. The report showed lots of hours of paint and bodywork done to car. I immediately went back to showroom and demanded gates chevy world take the car back. They refused to take car back for 2 days and only agreed to after I threatened to sue and demanded to talk to owner. I never got to talk to owner but they took car back. They also asked me if I feel better knowing they reported damage to Carfax after I gave car back and they also asked me not to leave a bad review. I waited to post this review until car loan was out of my name. GATES CHEVY WORLD BUYS WRECKED CARS FROM AUCTION AND FIXES THEM AND DOSEN'T REPORT DAMAGE TO CARFAX. THIS IS CRIMINAL FRAUD!!! I'm sure the gates chevy owner will comment and say this didn't happen but it did. Avoid gates chevy world at all cost.”
