“I bought a car back in August. I had heard a faint clicking sound a little while later. Took my car into my mechanic and they thought it was a rock. The sound continued so I went back in. Come to find out my rim is bent and needs replaced. My mechanic let me know I must have hit something. I asked if the hubcap was dented too and they said no. I let them know that's because I haven't hit anything. I called Carmax to let them know they sold me a car with a dented rim and they say there is nothing they can do about it. Their response was that they have their inspection and since I waited to bring it to their attention I am SOL. When I explained common sense and if this issue was caused by me then the hubcap would have the same damage as the rim. The icing was when the sales manager obviously got in his feelings and hung up on me as I let him know I will be writing a negative review. I went with Carmax for piece of mind and extended warranty. The warranty is the only thing left and I now question what else might be wrong that they snuck by.”
