I definitely did not miss the experience of buying from a dealership. I was able to find the car I wanted, have it shipped, and test drive it without being pressured. There were a few small issues with the car that were fixed under warranty, and they even provided a Lyft to and from my home while the car was being fixed. Every person there was very nice and extremely helpful along the way. My only complaint is the car wasn’t as clean as I would have hoped, but that’s pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.

Freindly atmosphere and had a quick turn around on selling my vehicle. I was offered a fair price compared to other entities that by used. I decided to go this route after spending time letting individuals look it over, which they were just tire kickers wasting my time. Personally I was in and out in under an hour.

Bought a truck at this dealership. Carmax is priced high, but you're supposed to get a quality vehicle and a warranty. Unfortunately I experienced problems with my vehicle. After taking the truck in multiple times with codes in the computer, they were unable to fix my problems of suddenly downshifting, and dropping into neutral. During this process the service department was very short when I inquired about the status of my truck (when they left it sitting on the lot for days on end untouched). John the service manager doesn't ever seem to be in the office, or on site at all. He never answers the phone, and misled me claiming they would return the truck even after the 10 day period. While my truck was sitting in the lot waiting for service, someone chipped paint off of my door. By the time I owned the truck for a month, two of those weeks it was sitting on their lot. I eventually had to pay an independent shop to fix my truck ($1,000), because both Carmax and the Ford dealer were so incompetent they couldn't fix it. Go anywhere else. These guys are wolves in sheep's clothing. At least at the "buy here pay here" lot they are upfront with their tactics.

The process to sell my car was very simple. From getting the quote to drop off, CarMax made it very easy to get everything done. When I dropped off the car, all I had to do was sign over the title and the check was already prepared for me. I felt the offer was more than reasonable and would recommend to anyone to reach out to them if you are in need of simply selling your vehicle.

The CarMax buying experience is as good as it gets. I found my car in Chattanooga, TN, and CarMax was offering free shipping to Nashville. It took about a week before it was ready to test drive. The Sr Sales Consultant, Tarpy Walker, discussed everything about the car, while the service people brought it around for our test drive. While we were on our test drive, CarMax confirmed the trade-in offer they made to me online. We got back and went over the numbers. We committed to the purchase. Tarpy started the process from his desk. Once that was complete, he sent the paperwork to the customer service/purchasing area. He gave us a couple of CarMax bags so that we could pack up the stuff from our trade-in (which we had purchased from that CarMax location 3 years earlier). After we clean everything our of the car, Tarpy transferred our old license plate to the new car, while we signed the papers and wrote the check. All told, we were in and out in 2 ½ hours. The car we chose, Honda Accord Hybrid Touring model is excellent. The next day when I discovered that the car didn't have SiriusXM radio, I called Tarpy and made a deal for CarMax to provide the second key fob at no cost to me. The sent their Key contractor to my house to program and cut the new key and key fob. This couldn't have been any easier if I had planned it.
