“I bought a car from Gene Messer Toyota. Biggest mistake I could ever make. I regret my purchase with them and I sure wish I had gone somewhere else. I bought a car that just been traded in, without me realizing it. I didnt get to see the car properly because it was late and never got to test drive it either. It was never offered. They were in too much of a hurry to make the sale. When they sold me the car the tires were bald. They had a battery in it from 2021. I was having so many problems with the car. I had it for two days and they had to take it back for a week to make repairs. They replaced the shocks. Every time I made a turn or hit a bump in the road the car was rocking like crazy. I got a set of keys with a key fob that doesn't work. It's been one disappointment after another. I have been promised phone calls that never came through. Im still waiting for the phone calls. During the process I was lent a car that had been a smokers vehicle. I ended up with chronic bronchitis. Yes they cleaned the car well, but somehow you never get rid of that smoke. I could feel my chest fighting but I couldn't understand why till I figured it out that it was the smoke. I didnt realize it would affect me this bad. When I finally got to the dr, she immediately did an egg because she said my chest was too tight. The Dr. thought it was my heart. It turned out to be a severe case of bronchitis ready to turn to pneumonia. Thank God it was caught in time. As for the car I still have it. They finally replaced the tires and the shocks. Thank God. Im still waiting for a key fob they said would work with my car. I just think that being a reputable car sales representative that all cars should be checked out really well before being sold to anyone. As bald as the tires were I could of had a bad accident had the tires blown, especially with the car rocking the way it was because of the bad shocks. I can honestly say I wish I had gone somewhere else. I was without a car for two years. I walked everywhere, so I really needed a car to get to dr appointments. I can say it wasnt the best experience I have had in purchasing a car here in Texas. My car went from 18,000 plus some to over 32,000 dollars. How is that even possible? Im getting ripped off. How can people get away with this? I could have purchased a brand new car for that amount with almost no miles, but no I get a used car with over 180 thousand miles for 32,000. Is this for real? I hope next time I make better choices. I was desperate for a car and this is what I got. SAD!!!”

“David greeted me at my car upon arrival for my appointment. He was polite and professional. I chose to wait for my vehicle and enjoyed the spacious, clean waiting area. The vehicle was ready before the time I was expecting which was a nice surprise. Very good experience!”

(Geoff Schramme), when buying my Toyota Crown 👑 🚗 my overall experience was just breathtaking. Very pleasant! I would recommend Gene Messer of Toyota in Lubbock to anyone, and my sales rep was hands-down. From the moment I called and the receptionist and she transferred the call to My salesman Geoff Schramme he was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I already knew what I wanted and he made sure everything ran really smooth, so I did my application online and told him I will be in on Saturday.. Saturday arrive and there I was heading to Lubbock to go get my Toyota Crown 👑. When arriving my car was already parked upfront. The sales reps was at the door waiting for me to come in as if I was a celebrity. Which I loved by the way. I have never had this happen to me. Geoff already for me to test drive the vehicle.. now I already knew I was getting this vehicle because this is what I’ve wanted and I did my research, so I already knew how well the vehicle was going to drive. Here I am just driving my Toyota Crown. It’s real pretty Candy Red with a black strip on the door side, Black interior.. it looks and feel amazing like it was made for me. We get back and get ready to do the financing. Joe Angel Enriquez was also very pleasant and polite and I let him know that my sales person was just phenomenal and he said well that’s that’s what we’re known for. So hats off to Gene Messer of Toyota and all their staff. Phenomenal job! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Poor customer service, we recently purchased a ‘26 Toyota Crown, the whole process took approximately 4 hours. We did not understand what was taking so long but little did we know the salesman (Gustavo) was trying to make two vehicle sales simultaneously. During the initial test drive, Gustavo was either texting or talking to somebody else on the phone, we had to grab his attention just to answer a question or two. we gave him the benefit of the doubt at the time but little did we know the process was about to get much worse. While in the dealership we did more waiting for him rather than doing business with him about our purchase. After purchasing the vehicle, Gustavo gave us little information about the technology, his idea was for us to YouTube it after we got home.. He even forgot to install the water plugs and suggested I do it myself, I understand. It is a very easy task, but with everything else, it just added to my frustration. We had also negotiated in floor mats as Gustavo explained the floor mats will be in our mail within the next five days. I will include pictures, but the floor mats that was sent to us were used and still dirty from the previous vehicle. After spending 50K plus on a vehicle, we expect more from a VERY respected dealership. Gustavo even called to think us for the purchase of our new TRUCK, I said we bought a car and hung up on him. If it wasn’t so difficult to locate 2026 Toyota crowns at the moment we would’ve walked away and just went to another dealership..”

“Sean was awesome! He was patient, knowledgeable, kind, funny, and really took the time to get us into the vehicles we wanted. Austin, Josh, and Eric were great to work with as well. You all have a good group of people and we are grateful for all of your kindness. Special thank you to some of your guys taking the time to play with our two year old son while we were getting things squared away. Great place to get a car or in our case, two! 🙂”
