“Money and time wasted. I paid $200 for a pre-purchase inspection after assurances that any reasonable issues would be fixed. I never received a call back afterward. The report revealed: - Two active diagnostic codes (P1604, P1605) - Failing battery - Worn spark plugs - Worn drive belt - Faulty tire pressure sensor - Additional routine maintenance items I returned the car to the dealership and they said their in-house mechanic would review the list and they’d get back to me. Despite several follow-ups over the next week, I never received a call — though I was told multiple times that I would. Eventually, I took the hint. If the dealership decided not to repair the items — perhaps waiting for another buyer who wouldn’t have it checked — a simple phone call would have been reasonable. Instead, I was left without any response after investing in a $200 inspection, and led along when I could have moved on to other cars. In case it’s still there and you consider this specific car, here’s the vehicle and what was found on it at the time (including a partially unresponsive touchscreen head unit). I recommend having any vehicle looked over by an outside mechanic before purchasing, so you know exactly what you’re buying.”
