“‼️READ THIS IF YOU INTEND TO BUY A VEHICLE THAT IS NOT BRAND NEW‼️ I recently purchased a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 from badger Chevy. The only reason I shopped at this place is because my last truck (2016 f150) had so many repairs and the warranty wouldn’t cover it. That dealership (Jeff’s north shore) ended up giving me fair market value back for the truck and I ate almost 6000 dollars on it. I come into badger Chevy and I told them the story. Cheryl, along with many other staff members, couldn’t believe how I was treated at that dealership. Cheryl was very helpful and kind. I was promised I would not have the same issues here as I had at the last dealer. Boy was I wrong. Apparently, a truck that is 10 years old cannot have an all around warranty. This was NOT gone over thoroughly with me, otherwise I would have purchased a newer vehicle. I brought my truck into the shop knowing what the issue is (simple evap sens and valve). I told them this. We talked about the warranty before they took the truck into the shop. I was never told that an “emissions” failure is not covered under my warranty. Now they have successfully charged me 200 dollars for a diagnosis, and tried charging me almost 1000 dollars for the fix. I would have simply liked to known that the warranty wouldn’t cover it all when I signed the papers. I will never be purchasing another vehicle through these people as it seems the people selling the vehicles don’t know fully what they are selling. BUYERS BEWARE”
