Carmax bought a vehicle we were looking to get out from under. The entire process went very fast and was completed start to finish in about 1hr. I was very pleased with the offer. I would recommend bringing your vehicle in for a physical inspection and after detailing it to get the best offer.
Highly recommend CarMax!

“After a solid six months of truly horrific car-buying experiences—courtesy of a total sleazeball private party seller and a small-time scam artist masquerading as a “dealership” in Cheyenne—I came in a little emotionally damaged.
Thankfully, my wife handled this one like a professional and had a car shipped in from out of state through CarMax that checked every box. From the start, Sam was friendly and easy to work with, and then Tammie took over and kept the good vibes going—very upfront, very helpful, and refreshingly no-nonsense. I’m a big fan of the no-haggle approach.
My only real gripe was the trade-in value, but the manager, Jeremie, stepped in, explained everything clearly, and was genuinely helpful.
No complaints at all on the sales side. Fingers crossed the car treats us better than the last few characters we dealt with.”

“We signed up for the express drop-off service when selling our vehicle. Despite uploading all required documents beforehand, we were asked to resubmit everything upon arrival at our appointment. This defeated the purpose of the express service and took much longer than anticipated.
Recommendation: If you're going to offer an express drop-off option that requires customers to upload documents in advance, don't require those same documents again at the appointment. The duplicate submission eliminates any time-saving benefit of the service.”
