“I had an extremely disappointing 42-day experience at Bill Collins Ford (Feb 20 – April 2). As a mother of a special needs daughter, I was left without transport or a loaner for 6 weeks, causing her to miss a full week of school and essential therapy.
The Facts:
• Unprofessional Conduct: After the initial manager resigned, I was left for 48 hours with no communication. The new advisor, Chuck, was dismissive of my concerns and unprofessional.
• Questionable Billing: I was charged $247 for a battery that had been installed brand-new just one week prior at Tire Discounters.
• Misinformation: I was told 'Ford does not make parts' for vehicles older than 6 years and suggested I use salvage/junkyard parts for $1500. Even when I found the parts on eBay myself, the dealership refused to help.
• Safety Breach: I eventually had to take my car back out of desperation, but it was returned with the backup camera and license plate light disconnected. This rendered my vehicle non-street-legal (KRS 186.170).
While the checkout staff and porter were very kind, the management of this service department is a failure. I was charged over $1,100 to have my car returned in an unfinished, unsafe condition. Potential customers: beware of the 'salvage part' pressure tactics and lack of support for older models.
UPDATE 4/12/26: Following my initial review, Ford reached out for a 'follow-up.' The call was dismissive and purely transactional. Despite my 42-day ordeal, their only 'solution' was a demand for an additional $2,100 to fix the safety issues they failed to address the first time—bringing the total cost to over $3,200.
Furthermore, during this call, they admitted the parts are available and even asked if I could still source them from eBay, directly contradicting their initial claim that the parts were 'indefinitely unavailable' because my vehicle is over 6 years old. They also failed to address the half-inch gap in my hatch body alignment caused by their poor workmanship.
Their follow-up was not an apology or a resolution; it was an attempt to double-charge a special needs mother who they had already left without transport for 6 weeks. Still no accountability and still no safe, street-legal vehicle.”

“After someone totaled my Escape I needed a car to replace it, but I wanted a bigger suv. I searched for a month online and at dealerships. I test drove a 2020 GMC Terrain at another dealership. It was not the car I was looking at but decided to try one out. Man was I sold on the smoothness and size on them! The safety features were an even bigger plus! I had my must haves and plus some on the one I test drove but the price wasn’t good on the wallet. I keep searching and found one at a very affordable price with all the features. I was a bit hesitant about the dealing process but with the first interaction I felt at ease, my sales person CT, made the transaction and experience amazing! He not only got to know what I wanted from my car dealing experience but he got to know me personally. Never once did he snake me feel like I was just another number! He worked hard to get me the car and price I was looking for. He answered all my questions and gave me information about the car I didn’t know! If you’re in the market for a car you need to talk to CT! He’s the man the myth the legend! 10+ yrs experience and he is a people person! Thanks CT I’ll see ya in 10 yrs haha!”

“Recently purchased a used Expedition from Mark Hulsewede and cannot say enough good things about our experience. We had a list of vehicles to look at both at his dealership and others. He was super helpful and not once did he pressure us to buy his cars giving us time and space to make our own decision. After visiting other dealers while looking at other cars we realized how much better working with Mark was and went back to close the deal with him. Negotiations were simple, fair and super transparent. Mark and his sales manager Dustin don’t play games and use old school gimmicks. They offered us the best trade in value on our current vehicle of any dealer around and on top of that even worked with us on the new vehicle some. We are very happy about the deal we made! We rarely buy brand new, so I hope the next time we need a used car it’s at Bill Collins. From beginning to end, every person we encountered provided top tier customer service!”

“My experience was great! Mark and the whole team were great to work with. Since I was coming from out of town to look at a lightly used Mustang, Mark answered all my questions over the phone and provided transparent pricing. Dustin worked with me to negotiate a fair price on the car, and Ray in financing advocated hard to get me the best financing possible.
I’m very happy with my Mustang and grateful that this dealer was easy and pleasant to work with!”

“I found my 2025 Lincoln Cosair through Chatgpt. I had My heart set on getting the 2025 lincoln consair Reserve III. I searched OH, PA, KY and WV and found Bill Collins in Louisville. KY. I called and my adventure started with Cruz. Hes the best salesperson I have ever worked with. Since I lived in WV. We did most of everything with phone calls and text. Cruz never let me down. He immediately went full force on finding the car I wanted and helping me with the trade of my 2024 lincoln consair Reserve II. I wanted this corsair to have everything and boy did it. Cruz knew and understood what I wanted and kept in contact with me several times a day for 10 days and held the car for me. Even up to today after the purchase of my car. He's still there for me. I hate pushy car salespeople and I hate feeling that i am being taken for a ride financially. You want the best service ever. You won't regret the gem we found in Cruz. Thank you Cruz for everything. You really are one awesome soul. God blessed us with you and the rest of the gang at Bill Collins Lincoln Ford. Thank you Cruz for your caring heart and my awesome car. Lisa and Jake Kerr”
