“Went in looking to purchase a family car and was met at the door by Ellis. Ellis was extremely professional and attentive to what me and my fiance we asking and looking for. He was extremely knowledgeable about every car on the lot and was extremely patient. After we saw what we liked he went through the process and it was seamless. If you ever are at AutoNation on Thornton Rd and need a car please reach out beforehand and get with Ellis. He will offer supreme customer service and will find you what you need if they don’t have it. Thank you again Ellis!!!”

“I have been a customer since 2021 and this experience has convinced me to take my business elsewhere. My concern was never the $8.75 shop fee itself. My concern was that the fee was not disclosed before the service was performed. When I noticed it and asked about it, I was told that the fee had always been charged and that I had paid it before without complaint. The fact that I may not have noticed it in the past does not change my concern that it was not discussed upfront. What disappointed me most was how the issue was handled. As a long-time customer, I felt my concern was dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of making an effort to resolve an $8.75 issue and retain a loyal customer, the dealership chose to stand by the charge and offered no meaningful resolution. For a dealership that promotes upfront pricing, I expected better communication, professionalism, and customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to take my vehicle elsewhere for future service. Note: If they advertise: “Upfront Service Pricing — All estimates are upfront, so the price we quote is the price you pay. Guaranteed.” Based on this experience, I feel the dealership did not live up to its advertised commitment to upfront pricing. Gentlecookie”

“I purchased my car to day from a wonderful man named Alton Threats. If there is anybody I’ve ever bought a car from that deserves a praise it’s him. This man went to bat for me and knocked a home run. If you’re thinking about purchasing a car from Autonation I highly recommend Alton, from is personality to is common sense and eagerness to help you get what you want is unmatched. Thank you Alton and Autonation you’ve earned my business for life.”

“I took my 2017 Honda Civic to AutoNation Honda Thornton Road and left feeling completely taken advantage of. They charged me about $480 to reprogram the transmission, said the programming was successful, but the car still had the same problem. Then they told me the PCM might be bad and wanted to charge another $400+ for more diagnostics. By that point, I had paid almost $900, and the car still wasn’t fixed. The service rep, David, kept saying things like “be ready for more repairs” and “this is only the first step,” which made it clear they were grooming me to spend more and more with no end in sight. It felt like they had no real plan — just excuses to keep the meter running. Most of what they did was plug the car into a computer and charge hundreds per hour for it. When I asked if they could at least apply the first diagnostic fee toward the repair, they refused. David even blamed a “shadetree mechanic,” which wasn’t true and came off arrogant and unprofessional. After all that, David quit shortly after handling my case. I ended up buying a PCM myself for $220 and took the car to Far East MotorWorks in Chamblee, where they reprogrammed everything correctly using proper Honda tools — all at a fair price. This whole experience was exhausting and felt like a money trap. I wouldn’t recommend this service department to anyone.”
