“Took my Bronco in for its oil change/tire rotation service. There was the back up camera recall that was also going to be completed. We installed an aftermarket spare tire carrier and this had to be removed to replace the camera apparently. While doing this, they somehow stripped the tailgate hinge when putting the carrier back on. The service department is claiming it is our fault and it was damaged when we brought it to them and they stated it was a self tapping screw that they took out of it. This is a lie as the piece was installed with M8x50mm allen head screws that were provided by the manufacturer. There were 0 issues when it was dropped off and the tire carrier was solid and noise free. Upon pickup we discovered they didn’t put the screw back in and they claim it was put in the cup holder which it was not. This also caused us having to drive it 20+ miles home like this and in turn it was loose and making a lot of noise and even worse with bumps and plus the extra strain on the bottom hinge. They insist it was damaged and that they did nothing wrong, however, it seems clear that they must have over tightened the screw when reinstalling and stripped it out, most likely caused by using an impact to put them back in and over torquing the screw. You can also see the coating missing on the other screw they put back in, which was not like that and also would imply the use of an impact and you can see they didn’t get it lined back up because you can tell where the screw was before. The additional strain on the bottom hinge is also now causing that hinge to separate. They will take no responsibility and their solution is that we should have to purchase a new tailgate. Terrible service calling your customer a liar and telling us we damaged it and it was like that when they got, man up and take responsibility for your technicians, people do understand that accidents happen but to deny it and blame us, just not the right way to handle it.”

My salesperson (Jake) was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way—no pressure, just honest answers and great service.
The vehicle, at first impression could have used a bit more TLC but they quickly offered to remedy my concerns and fix a couple items I pointed out througout the process.
The buying process was smooth and transparent, and I really appreciated how the team took the time to explain everything clearly. It’s rare to find a dealership that combines professionalism with such a personal touch, but Suntrup Ford Kirkwood nailed it.
