“Not sure if I misunderstood how Carmax works or I just drew a short straw… Come in Friday 6/19 and left with 2017 Chevrolet Malibu. Went home, few hours later still on Friday.. went to store and otw back home engine light come on. Engine light after 3 hours of driving off lot. They couldn’t get it in until Monday to fix. I did get it returned 6:00pm Monday. Friday - went to work, come out and car completely black. Dead. No lights, no start. Nothing. When I called with concerns and frustrations. Carmax was unwilling to really help. All they would offer is fixing under warranty or return. I think it’s crazy! I asked the guy about initial checks? The Malibu I chose he looked, was not ever seen by car max Katy fwy until I took it in for engine light. The last look was dealership it come from… I did really appreciate and like their roadside though! I had to call twice for dead battery and both times those men were really pleasant and helpful. Today 6/27 car is returned”
