“Financed a RAV4 posted on Cargurus and dealership site as $5,495. Requested $6k on the loan app. They altered the loan amount to a little over 18k. Had a cyber investigator find that they altered the paperwork and had my attorney review the contract to find that most of the paperwork is invalid. Including the As Is paperwork. They acted as a licensed insurance agency to obtain my policy. Which is illegal in NJ and breaks about 3 criminal laws. I’ve contacted the FBI, Department of Banking and Insurance, Consumer Fraud Protection Bureau, MVC Business Licensing Department and Consumer Affairs. Alexander in Irvington is who I did business with. He even charged me $195 for an “agency fee”. Which is also a criminal offense in NJ if you’re not a licensed insurance agent or agency. I’ve contacted the dealership via phone call and email to come up with a silent resolution. But they’ve provided nothing but lies and excuses to attempt to cover themselves. All calls were recorded and with New Jersey being a one-party state. I was legally able to do so without the consent of the other person. So I have all of the proof I need to make sure this franchise doesn’t do this to anyone else again. I’m sure most of the positive reviews are fake. Posted by real customers but the guy Alexander pretty much begged me to post a good review and I quote “it’s how we get a lot of business”.”
