“Our experience at David McDavid Honda in Irving, TX did not match what their online vehicle purchase process advertises. The online form offers same-day purchase pricing based on condition disclosures. We answered everything honestly — including stating that the A/C was not blowing cold. That issue was never mentioned during the in-person evaluation. After about two hours at the dealership, they reduced the offer by $2,000 for “needed tires” and a small door ding. The tires have passed inspection, and minor cosmetic wear is normal for a ~70,000 mile vehicle. The reduction did not seem consistent with typical reconditioning costs. We were then told they would keep the car, pay off Honda Credit, and possibly pay us in about three weeks after title processing and after they sell the vehicle. We were told this was corporate policy. Other companies complete these transactions with clear pricing and same-day payment. If you are selling a vehicle, make sure you clearly understand adjustment criteria and payment timing before handing over your car. Review edited to make sure it was "Google Safe" and wouldnt be taken down. Second edit - as you see here the GM reached out quickly and worked with us to address some of our concerns. She is professional and seemed sincere. As it turned out we were able to get a check same day. SMH. I give her credit for jumping in to try to help. I wish her luck in righting the ship over there. I had hoped the industry was changing but before we complained , the process felt designed to wear customers down rather than help them make an informed decision or treat them fairly.”

“On December 30th 2025, I visited David McDavid Honda in Irving on 3600 West Airport Freeway to get a key cut for my 2017 Honda HRV. In the beginning of the appointment everything went well they took my keys and asked me to wait in the waiting room with no problem. As time went on, I received an email at 12:37p regarding my complimentary multi-point courtesy inspection with a list of repairs. I declined the repairs because I was only there to get a key made and I had just purchased the car December 19th in another state from another Honda dealership. Services were declined and the original service which was having a key made and programmed was completed and I was ready to check out around 1: 39pm. As I leave the dealership everything seems fine and maybe 5 to 10 minutes after leaving I noticed a mechanical smell. Thinking that it has something to do with the key I didn't question it any further since they told me the car needed to be present for them to key and program. I've never had that done before and a dealership because my cars have always been pushed to start or it came with two keys. So today 1/02/ 26, I am and did travel back to the state in which I attend school and intermittently noticed a heavy gas smell in my car. Again when I noticed the smell I was at a gas station so I wasn't sure if it was the car or it was the gas station. Luckily, oblivious to the issue, I made it safely to my destination with no problem, because upon arrival to my home I decided to open my car's hood out of curiosity and discovered that my cap for my oil on the engine was left completely off. I drove over 700 miles to my destination without my engines' oil cap! There was no reason for the engines' oil cap to be removed especially since I declined services at David McDavid! So anyone who is planning services please be aware and make sure that you check behind the technicians who are supposed to check prior to giving the vehicle back to the client. No technician checked my vehicle and I was allowed to leave their property with my engine cap not replaced back on my car! This was indeed negligent and dangerous and I will be calling in the morning, Jan 3, 2026 to report”

“I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Baha. “We just purchased our 2021 Honda Odyssey EX-L from David McDavid Honda of Irving, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. Our salesman, Nate, was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the Odyssey.
