“On paper, the Genesis Powertrain Warranty looks good. REALITY: Our Engine Failed at 1195 miles. Genesis stated it was a Manufacturing Defect. They promised an immediate reimbursement. SIX-MONTHS Later we received reimbursement, At a >$10K LOSS Genesis is the most unethical Company I have met in my 68-yr lifetime. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WARRANTIES DO NOT TRUST THEIR QUALITY DO NOT TRUST THEIR RELIABILITY”

“We had a great experience purchasing a pre-owned car for my dad. We worked with Deno and Sami, and they were both professional, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the process. We flew in from out of town, and while we initially had a few concerns regarding the vehicle, they addressed and resolved everything before any paperwork was signed, which we really appreciated. The process felt transparent and low-pressure. Overall, it was a smooth and positive buying experience, and we would definitely recommend working with them.”

“I'd strongly recommend not buying a Genesis here until they fix their service department issues. To call this anything close to a luxury car brand is a joke. In the two years we've owned the car it's been towed to this dealership twice because the GV60 outright stopped functioning. They promise callbacks that never come, will repeatedly email you about recalls they have no parts for, will forget to reset the service indicator so your car will keep telling you it needs service, they'll hold onto your car far longer than promised. They sold us on this idea of 'white glove luxury' and 'loaner cars' but in the two years we've owned this car, where they've had it for many days in a row, they've never had a loaner available. They grew too fast, promised too much, it's just a mess. This will be our first and only Genesis. Back to actual luxury brands we go the moment this lease is up. I'd encourage you to read other reviews, which I wish we'd done.”

“Read some of the more recent reviews and my experience was not the same. We had a dead battery and the only Genesis dealership in our county ran out of batteries. If you are unaware, the batteries for our GV70 can only be purchased from Genesis which is unfortunate, but I am writing about the great service we received from Jaclyn Fernandes in the service department. We were told by our local Genesis they didn't have any batteries and most likely it would be at least 8 days before they may get a battery to install into our car. Suffice to say we were not happy to hear they didn't have any batteries. Frantically we called around to Firestone, Costco and the AAA technician said we would need to contact Genesis. We called Genesis in Irvine and Jaclyn said we could bring our car to their facility that same day. After having the car jump started by AAA, we drove the Genesis located in Irvine and they immediately took our car and installed the battery and washed the car and vacuumed the interior. Since it was near lunchtime, they drove us to a nearby mall so we could get some food and they picked us up. We never received a link to leave any comments. I thought I would leave a review here due to the exceptional service we received and the prompt attention to a situation that would have left us without a functioning car for over a week. I guess not everyone's experience turned out as well as ours, but we are grateful for exceptional service we received. I don't leave many reviews, but thought this experience deserved to be posted. The battery wasn't cheap, but our original battery last a little over 4 years and now we know AAA, Firestore, Costco and everywhere else doesn't carry the battery for our GV70. Hopefully when we need another battery our local Genesis will do a better job of keeping an inventory of the batteries.”

“I’ve owned a Genesis for about 8 years and always had great service when the Irvine location was part of Hyundai. Since Genesis split off, the service has gone downhill. Scheduling was frustrating—the staff didn’t seem to know the services, and the first appointment was days away. I was originally told no appointment was needed and that pick-up/drop-off and loaner cars were included, but those options are gone and no one informed me. At my appointment, they said a nearly new tire with a small nail “couldn’t be repaired,” but it was easily patched elsewhere. They also lost my unique valve caps and only admitted it after checking video footage. For both of the last two services, they even forgot to reset the service light on the dashboard. Very disappointing compared to the excellent Hyundai-era service.”
