“This entire experience has been AWFUL. Purchased a pre-owned 2024 Kona EV, only 6k miles. Seems practically new right?? Test drove, fell in love. Signed paperwork, removed some add-ons, fine right? Well we went back and forth over deposit amounts. I ended up walking out with no car and returned the next day with financing in hand. Dealership said they could beat my rate, sure! Capital One made a better offer through their bid process or whatever. BEFORE I drive the car OFF THE LOT, the keys get locked in the car. HOW CAN NO ONE FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED?? I’m told to subscribe to their bluelink app to unlock the car, need the QR code that is INSIDE THE CAR (screen) to activate. Finally they call KARR and are told to utilize the app to unlock. This add-on becomes a MAJOR LIABILITY because it overrides the FOB and auto locks the car no matter what!! I was sold a duplicate security system that was presented to me completely different. Note everyone: they do not provide detailed written description of add-ons. Well within a short time since driving off the lot, first time I roll the window down, the regulator BREAKS. Window cannot roll-up!! I live inland OC and Service is already closed for the day. WOW. NEXT DAY, before I bring in the car, my key gets locked AGAIN in the car. I thought since it wasn’t locked through the app this wouldn’t happen; WRONG. AGAIN THE KARR OVERRIDES. Luckily window was open, but alarm goes off. I had to connect to WiFi and unlock car through KARR APP. Finally I drive from inland OC to HB with window rolled down the entire drive, awful. Leave at the service department, never receive a call all day. I call at 6pm to receive update. They shared that it indeed was the window regulator and they ordered the part. Should arrive tomorrow and be fixed. TODAY, I call requesting that the KARR be removed. Dealer says it will incur labor charges???? It’s an INEFFECTIVE SYSTEM THAT WAS ALREADY INSTALLED!!! It’s a major liability to have as a family with dogs that travel frequently together. Heaven forbid my kid or dog gets locked in the car!! Heading to the dealership now, will update google review.”
