They made a great team in helping me purchase the exact vehicle I was looking for, and I would recommend them to anyone. “CarMax Corporate Customer Relations,
I’m writing to formally lodge a complaint concerning my recent experience with the CarMax Southwest location. I have been a loyal CarMax customer for over ten years, and until now, I have always trusted your company’s reputation for honesty, professionalism, and integrity. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the practices at this particular dealership.
The customer service I received at CarMax Southwest was unacceptable. I initially purchased a vehicle that turned out to be defective, forcing me to return it and trade it in for another vehicle from the same location. Regrettably, the second vehicle broke down less than four months after purchase. When I reported the issue, the staff refused to take responsibility or offer meaningful support. Instead, they insisted that I pay additional money to repair a vehicle that should have been in proper working condition upon sale.
Upon further inspection by independent mechanics, it appears that several components of the vehicle had suffered from long-term neglect and wear inconsistent with the claims made during CarMax’s so-called “comprehensive inspection.” This suggests either serious lapses in quality control or possible falsification of inspection reports. Both scenarios are deeply troubling and completely unacceptable for an organization that markets itself as a trustworthy dealer.
As a disabled veteran and long-time CarMax customer, I feel particularly let down by the lack of empathy, accountability, and professionalism demonstrated by the CarMax Southwest staff. My loyalty to your brand has always been based on my prior positive experiences at other CarMax locations, which makes this situation even more disappointing.
I request that CarMax Corporate investigate this matter thoroughly and hold the Southwest location accountable for any deceptive or negligent practices uncovered. I also request a fair resolution to my specific situation, including reimbursement for repair expenses or replacement of the defective vehicle as appropriate.”

“These guys make buying a car, not scary. I WENT TO ANOTHER PLACE FIRST AND THEY LIED ABOUT INTEREST AND TRIED TO BAIT AND SWITCH ME. Then carmax won over my loyalty and trust. They were honest and even refunded me my uber money! Thank you, Carmax! Yall rock!!!
