“UPDATE: I’m moving this from 1-star up to 3-stars. My original review is unedited below. I had texted many times but received no responses, so after 9 days and letting them know I was going to post a review, I finally posted the review below. Within hours of posting the review Kimmy reached out by text and a phone call. She said they’ve been really busy and their post-sales person has been out, so she apologized they hadn’t seen my messages. She never mentioned seeing my review, but the timing of her phone call immediately after I posted the review lends me to believe she was responding to the review. She reimbursed for the Uber and apologized for not realizing this was a smoked-in car and said she never realized the smell, which doesn’t seem like it could have been accurate given they went out to clean it as soon as I arrived to pick it up, and there was clearly something masking the smell. Regardless, I appreciate the reach out and reimbursement follow through, and have updated my stars to 3 accordingly.
TLDR: Super nice people, but definitely weren’t forth coming about the condition (smoke, broken charge port, lied about reimbursing Uber, and ghosted me after I paid) so there were too many unfortunate surprises for me to recommend them.
Background:
I flew across the country to pick up a Tesla from Lake Motor Group. Art texted and talked with me and was super helpful, but he works remotely and had never seen the car, so you have to ask extremely good questions before you realize the person you’re talking with doesn’t know much more than you know if you read the listing. Art was so great that I had enough confidence in the vehicle but then I arrived and found the surprises…
Pros:
1. Good price for the car
2. Before the sale Art, Kimmy and Ameliano were super communicative. Ameliano even did a FaceTime call with me, but didn’t tell me anything more than the exact questions I asked, and I didn’t think to ask about smoke.
Cons:
1. The car was smoked in, and they never disclosed that, so I found out when I arrived. They used something strong to mask the smell and it was so moist inside that I thought it was mildew at first, but after the moisture dried out it was obviously just smoke.
2. The charge port was broken. Now I’ve mostly figured out how to work with it, but right after leaving Lake Motor Group I had one Supercharger where it couldn’t charge at all and nearly left me stranded.
3. Conveniently no photos were shown of the worst things and they didn’t tell me but still insisted that I make a significant non-refundable deposit before flying out to see the vehicle. No disclosure about water damage from a prior leaking sunroof, persistent smoke, and the broken charge port.
3. They never followed through reimbursing for my Uber, like they said they would, despairing me reaching out multiple times. Kimmy told me just to send her the Uber screenshot, which I did while I was there with her, and she said she would send out the Zelle payment on Monday, but 10 days later it still hasn’t been sent. (Make sure you don’t trust that they’ll do something later!)
4. They completely stopped communicating after the sale. Ghosted me completely.
So, while I’m still okay with the sale and the car was still a solid price because they didn’t know it was the lowest priced Tesla with FSD sold in the entire country since Elon’s announcement, and FSD is worth a lot right now, it was disappointing that they were so deceptive in their disclosures and dishonest in their lack of reimbursement. I hope they didn’t also lie about collecting sales tax and remitting to the state. With how they won’t communicate anymore, you never know what other shady things they’re doing.”

“Overall a pleasant experience buying my 2016 BMW 428i Gran Coupe here. Kimmy was the standout — she made the whole process as smooth as possible and was genuinely easy to work with from start to finish.
I did catch an issue with the car shortly after purchase, but Kimmy and her team addressed it quickly and got it resolved without any hassle. That kind of follow-through means a lot, especially on a used luxury buy.
Speaking of which — do your due diligence before purchasing any used luxury vehicle here (or anywhere, really). These cars come with more complexity than your average sedan, so get a PPI if you can. That said, they do have solid deals and the inventory is worth checking out.
My one caveat: the financing process still needs some work. They're newer to it and it showed — it was a bit slow and could definitely be streamlined. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if you're in a time crunch. Once they iron out those kinks, this place will be hard to beat. Would recommend — just go in prepared.”

“Absolutely LOVE our Audi A6! Kimmy was very patient with us & we got a great deal. We bought in November 2025, so after 90 days, it's safe to say we got a GREAT car!”

“Just picked up my second car from Lake Motor Group. Super happy! They got nothing but good deals!
P.s. last March I got a bummer for my family and been driving it for over 20k miles since - runs like a champ. Had a check engine few months after initial purchase but Lake Motor was able to help me with repair 3 times cheaper than BMW dealer in my home city. Thank you guys!”

“I was very pleased when I went to Lake Motor Group. I browsed online and decided to just pop in and Kimmy was the only one in the office. She was welcoming, answered all of my (unprepared) questions, and let me test drive a few vehicles before ultimately deciding on my 2016 Golf TSI.
I will definitely, without a doubt, refer anyone I know thats looking for an affordable, reliable car that still has all of the luxury features everyone loves.
Ask for Kimmy!”
