“After a very frustrating and concerning experience with Baron Nissan in Greenvale involving a vehicle safety issue, I would not return to this dealership.
I received an alert in my vehicle and through the Nissan app indicating a possible airbag malfunction. When I initially called, I spoke with Kevin (Sales Manager), who said he was unfamiliar with this type of issue.
The following morning, I contacted the service department and spoke with Jason (Service Manager). I asked him directly whether he would feel safe driving a vehicle with a potentially malfunctioning airbag. He responded, “Yes, I’m 53 years old and I drove the first 30 years of my life without an airbag.” Given that this involved an active safety alert, this response felt dismissive and left me feeling that the seriousness of the situation was not being fully acknowledged.
After bringing the car in, I was later informed via text that my passenger airbag was malfunctioning and that the required module was on national backorder with no ETA. I was not provided with a diagnostic explanation or written documentation outlining the issue.
Over the next several days, I received conflicting information from multiple employees, including Kevin (Sales Manager) and Joe (Finance Manager), regarding whether a loaner vehicle would be provided. Promises were made and later contradicted, and follow-up calls that were promised did not occur. At one point, I drove to the dealership during posted business hours only to find it closed early without notice.
Given that this involved a confirmed safety issue, the inconsistent communication and lack of clear accountability were extremely disappointing.
I eventually spoke with Brian (General Manager), who apologized and acknowledged the situation, stating this was the first time he was becoming aware of the full scope of the issue. Overall, the experience highlighted serious gaps in communication and customer care.
Ultimately, Brian took the time to listen to my concerns, and for the first time throughout this process, I felt truly heard and validated. He connected me with Nissan of Westbury, who immediately escalated my case as a top priority. Their team located the backordered airbag module in Pennsylvania, sent a mechanic to retrieve it, provided a loaner vehicle, completed the repair, and ensured the issue was resolved safely. Thanks to their effort, compassion, and follow-through, I now feel safe driving my vehicle again.
A special shoutout to Brian, who took my case seriously and addressed my safety concerns when earlier interactions had not resulted in the same level of urgency or follow-through.
Going forward, I will be working exclusively with Nissan of Westbury and their team, as they demonstrated exactly what customer care should look like.
I hope Baron Nissan improves how safety concerns and customer follow-through are handled in the future.”

“Baron Nissan in Greenvale was the best dealership I have ever been to. There were no gimmicks and true transparency. Each staff member at Baron that we dealt with was informative and honest...a rare quality at a car dealership. I usually don't write Google reviews, but this dealership definitely deserves to be praised for their ethical practices. A rare find these days.
