“I was trying to sell my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL I had two companies to choose from. I chose to go with Carmax because they told me I would get my money the same day. Three times I reiterated the importance of being able to get the funds the same day. Three times they told me yes I absolutely will get my funds the same day. Then when I go to cash the check I’m told CarMax has a deal with the banks That nobody will cash their checks for five days. There is a five day hold. When I called CarMax and spoke to the business office manager, he told me he would be willing to talk to the bank to have them release the funds when I got to the bank, they say there’s nothing they can do. It’s just their policy and (Jeremy or Jerry?) from Carmax said oh well I guess that’s all I can do then. In other words, he had no intention and knew he was going to do nothing to change the fact that I had to wait five days to get my money. How I’m supposed to get to work for the next five days with no vehicle is beyond me. And CarMax sure doesn’t care. I definitely will never buy or sell a car from Carmax. They are sneaky. You just can’t find anybody that tells the truth these days.”
