“Been a mechanic for about fifty years. Ken Garff is one of the better Ford Dealerships on the front range. Their sales staff was quite professional and helpful. I scored hard on a 2024 fleet "left over" with 19 miles on it. It was basically $15,000 off. They even gave me military discount as well. I have a 2017 F350 diesel, but needed a back up truck for staging home builds. I was completely impressed with the 6.8 liter Minizilla gasser with a 10 speed automatic. The engine has a 4.222 bore with 3.68 stroke and 10.8 to 1 compression. In the old days, this 412 cubic inch would have been considered a real hotrod engine. However, if you select eco mode and keep the MPH at about 65 in cruise, the gas mileage can be impressive. As it is, I am very impressed with the 405 horse 6.8 gasser with 10 speed automatic. I am fairly certain that it will tow better than a Cummins 5.9 especially with its 5500 rpm redline and 10 speed automatic. It also has tow/haul so doing the Eisenhower gauntlet is a piece of cake. I love the XL package, tow package, running boards, and rubber mat interior. The back up camera and Android Auto screen are perfect. Once I install my extra set of King Ranch wheels, I will be styling to the max. Oh, and the dual catalytic converter exhaust sounds like it belongs on a 429 Mustang. Wonderful sound!!!!!!!! Simply badass!!!! While I really did not need this truck, I enjoy the Ford quality and newer technology. One only lives once, so $15,000 off was a no brainer. They took my Ford Focus ST turbo car in trade. Oh, and the new 4 wheel drive system on this truck and the display interface is cutting edge complete with locking differential. Gonna love driving this 6.8 liter with Chevy 454 bore and Dodge 360 CI stroke.... 4.22 by 3.68. Almost the same specs as a built 400 SBC, only with variable valve timing and fuel injection.....”
