“Buying a GMC? See Nate, the guy is just a great guy to deal with. He bent over backwards to help me through the process. He showed me several trucks in all varieties multiple times so that I could make the best Decision for me.
He wasn’t pushy, he actually knows more about the vehicles than me which is apparently hard to do. I’m not super knowledgeable but a lot of these sales people don’t know crap about vehicles they are selling.
Thanks for everything Nate! Truly appreciate the way you operate.”

“In search of my next vehicle, I visited five other "big-named" Maryland dealerships before connecting with IG Burton of Glen Burnie. Over the course of a month, I experienced some of the worst customer service—sales gimmicks, pressure tactics, and unnecessary games—which made an already stressful process even more exhausting. This was my fifth vehicle purchase, but my first SUV and my first time shopping for a Buick/GMC.
Everything changed once I spoke with Sales Manager Joe Beach. From our very first phone call, I felt completely heard. He treated me with respect, provided fast and efficient information about the vehicle I was interested in, and followed up both verbally and via email within 10 minutes. Most importantly, there was no haggling or pressure throughout the process.
Because of the unique exterior color, my vehicle was being transferred from another dealership, communication was key—and IG Burton exceeded expectations. I received consistent updates throughout the transfer and even received a follow-up email from Bob Purdue at 11:30 PM. The team ensured my bank’s requirements were met and worked around my availability to make final paperwork seamless.
The finance experience was just as exceptional. Tyler and Melissa from the Finance Team were wonderful—professional, clear, and respectful during the signing process. To top it off, Bob followed up via text the day after my “drive-off” day (which was a Sunday) to thank me again for my patience and business.
I have shared nothing but glowing feedback about my experience with IG Burton of Glen Burnie with my colleagues, family, and friends. The entire team, led by Charles Burton, turned a long and frustrating car-buying journey into one that was truly worth the wait. They made me feel like more than just a sale—I felt like part of a dealership family that genuinely cared about meeting my needs.

“Leaving a review on the Sales side as well. Recently purchased my 2020 Yukon XL here and really enjoyed working with Nate Schafer in the Sales Department. He provided me all the info on the vehicle I was interested in via phone and electronic media in a very efficient and helpful manner before I made up the drive from the Washington DC area to Glen Burnie to see the GMC in person.
There was a minor service issue on the vehicle, but I really wanted to take delivery that day. Nate coordinated with the Service Department, and an appointment was set up to return. Nate and his management team, headed up by General Manager Joe Beach, made sure that the excellent experience I had on the date of delivery continued. Brennan was the service advisor, and I was really impressed with the professionalism all around and have decided to continue to have my vehicle serviced here, driving past several other GMC dealers to do so (I literally could walk from home to one of them!).
Basically, I’ve dealt with both sales and service here and all I can say is that I am beyond impressed!”

“I rarely write reviews, but my experience with David Stevenson at I.G. Burton deserves every bit of praise I can give. From the very first conversation to driving off the lot in my new truck, David delivered exceptional customer service at every step. His responsiveness, professionalism, and clear communication were on a level I honestly did not expect from a dealership. He set the bar incredibly high.
David is one of those rare salespeople who is genuinely committed to the customer. He kept me informed, answered every question quickly and clearly, and made the entire process smooth, transparent, and stress free. It is obvious he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in the way he treats people.
And the truck is fantastic. I am beyond happy with it. The whole experience was exceptional from start to finish.
If you are considering a vehicle from I.G. Burton, do yourself a favor and ask for David. I highly recommend both the dealership and David specifically. You will not find better service anywhere.”

“Took our 2024 gmc Yukon in for service after it started making a chirping noise. My father in law said it was likely the belt and pulley, which it was. I was charged 280 for a diagnosis, and then received a call that quoted me 2500 worth of work and maintenance. 700 for the belt and pulley, and the rest was maintenance that NEEDED to be done immediately. My father in law told me the price for the repair was a rip off. I called a local shop who said they could repair it for 400 on the expensive end. I also handed them the list of maintenance that I was told I NEEDED.. he checked everything, and was told only 2/7 maintenance items needed to be done. The others all looked perfectly fine and aren’t normally done until 80-100k miles. I am absolutely DISGUSTED with this service department. 80k for a truck that has parts going bad that shouldn’t be until 80k miles and they’re STILL trying steal money. And their explanation for the part going bad early was there’s no explanation, that they had two brand new trucks with less than 10k miles on it and need new engines… call me crazy, but it seems like maybe GMC has low quality cars for high prices”
