“I live 3 hours away from Gastonia and scheduled a test drive for a Saturday. I came in on time for my test drive and wanted to go through with purchasing it so I told them I would come back during the week. On Monday I schedule an appointment for Wednesday at 5 to go back and purchase the vehicle. I made sure they understood how far I was coming from and my appointment was for 5 Wednesday.
Whenever I arrived they were extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment I got there. Nobody greeted me whenever I came in and they didn't pull the vehicle to the front and it was extremely filthy. They told me over the phone that when I came back the car would be ready to go with a full tank of gas and cleaned. The manager hands me a key and does not say a word. I went outside with my dad and showed him the car and nobody ever came outside to check on us or ask if we wanted to drive it. We went back inside to get a tag to test drive it again before purchasing the vehicle. Whenever we went back in once again we were not greeted by anyone and had to go all the way to the back desk to talk to someone. I had told them over the phone that I would be bringing in a code runner. My dad proceeds to plug in the code reader and shocker it's showing a fuel sensor code. At this point I was very upset with the service I was receiving, nobody was really trying to help me, and the vehicle was not in the condition they told me it would be in. Whenever I informed them that it was showing a code they told me that the service department was gone for the day and that they would look at it tomorrow but it had not had any codes when they had previously checked. I drove 3 hours to write a check for them to tell me to come back the next day. I had already bought insurance for the vehicle and everything and when I asked why I was told it would be cleaned and ready they informed me that they "don't clean a vehicle before someone purchases it". I had already drove 3 hours once to test drive the vehicle and confirmed twice that I was coming back to purchase the vehicle and came to write a check not finance and have a 3 hour drive back home I don't have time to wait on a vehicle to be cleaned and have gas put in it that should have already been done before I got there like they told me it would be. I left without purchasing the car due to the code and overall poor service. 30 minutes after I left the general manager calls me to tell me there is no codes and that it was a local trade in. How does he know there isn't a code if the technicians have left for the day and on the car-fax online on their website it shows that they bought the car at auction. I explained that I came in ready to buy a car and they wasted my time and I wasn't interested anymore. The general manager continues to tell me he has raised the price on the vehicle and I hang up. He calls me back asking if I hung up and I said yes. He proceeds to be extremely rude and tells me that "I don't know how the car business works". At this point I was very aggravated. I just took a day off work to come up there and buy a vehicle and couldn't and now they are calling me harassing me on my 3 hour drive back home.
He calls me back a third time and at this point I tell him to go to hell and stop calling me he is harassing me and he is still trying to argue with me about the car!! It was so unprofessional I couldn't believe it! I have never had a general manager be so rude and unprofessional.”

“This dealership is unprofessional and a complete mess.
I work long hours which is why this review is coming later but the problems started almost immediately after I bought my vehicle. Since early on I have had serious interior issues that should never happen including peeling and warping trim, a visor piece falling out while I was driving, and rear AC components falling inward and not staying secured. I posted photos of everything.
To make it worse they somehow lost my full warranty information when I had the contract proof from just buying the vehicle —which was a red flag on its own. I had to waste my time calling and dealing with an employee who told me I did not even have a warranty when I absolutely do. This happened when I first called about these issues which is exactly why I do not want to deal with them anymore. Being told you do not have a warranty because of their own mistake is unacceptable.
When I later called again I was told I would have to pay upfront just to have warranty issues checked. That alone says everything about how this place operates. Nothing is clear nothing is upfront and everything turns into my problem on my time.
This is not my first bad experience here. I previously waited over two hours for a basic oil change during my workday. I asked multiple times for updates only to see my car already sitting outside. When I went inside the employee acted like I had just arrived and tried to check me in again even though I had been waiting and asking around the entire time.
At this point I feel forced to trade my vehicle before it is further damaged because I do not trust the work done or the shortcuts taken here. If this cannot be resolved properly I am prepared to move forward with further action because of the amount of time and stress this dealership has caused.
Stay away from this place or you will end up dealing with the same mess”

“I had an amazing experience at this Volkswagen dealership! Joseph was my salesman and Charles was the manager, and they were both absolutely fantastic. Super helpful, incredibly nice, and truly willing to do whatever it took to get me into the right car—not just any car.
The entire staff was also super helpful and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Everyone was welcoming, patient, and professional. The process felt easy and stress-free from start to finish—no pressure at all, just genuine support.
If you’re looking for a dealership that truly cares about its customers, I highly recommend working with Joseph, Charles, and the whole team. Thank you all for such a great experience!”

“We just purchased our second VW vehicle at this location, we choose this one above the others that are closer to me because the level of service and customer care each of the employees offered. They work with you and it doesn’t feel like it’s a hustle especially Mr Anthony Lewis. You are super fortunate to have him in your team. This guy is the real deal! My husband and I told him that because of his professionalism and compassion in taking time to explain every detail have earned our trust and business. I gave him a 5 stars rating!! Thanks!”
