“I am unsure why their service department felt they had a right to remove my vehicle's license plate holder and replace it with their own. The service I brought my vehicle for had nothing to do with the plate, and they changed it without even telling me! I purchased my vehicle from a dealership in VA, not Criswell, so this feels as though they're trying to take credit (and free advertisement) by stamping their name on my vehicle.
They also unplugged my dash cam leaving the wires askew, and I didn't even notice until I was back on the highway! This kind of negligence is unacceptable and deeply concerning.
This review will be updated when my original plate holder has been returned and reinstalled. Ridiculous.”

“I brought my Alfa Romeo Stelvio to Criswell after a windshield replacement, and the passenger-side/right interior A-pillar trim was damaged during the process.
The most frustrating part was not just the damage itself, but how the issue was handled afterward. When I first reported the damage, it was not simply acknowledged and corrected. Instead, the process was delayed because the dealership stated they could not find physical evidence. Fortunately, I had taken photos/videos of my vehicle before dropping it off, which became very important in showing that the damage was not present before service. Without that documentation, I may have been forced to pay out of pocket for damage that occurred while the vehicle was in their care.
The A-pillar trim was eventually replaced, but it took a total of three visits to get the matter handled. During one of the replacement visits, the replacement A-pillar that was installed had a visible mark/scratch at pickup, so the original trim had to be reinstalled temporarily and another replacement part had to be ordered/exchanged.
What is especially disappointing is that the issue was not properly addressed until after I escalated the matter through multiple formal channels, including Alfa Romeo Customer Care, the BBB, and the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. A customer should not have to open multiple cases and repeatedly follow up just to have service-related damage corrected.
To be fair, the final installed A-pillar appears acceptable now. However, the overall process did not feel organized, professional, or customer-focused. I had to follow up multiple times, make repeated visits, inspect the replacement parts myself, and push for accountability.
I have visited service departments for several different vehicle brands over the years, and this was honestly one of the most frustrating dealership service experiences I have had. I do not want to go through this kind of experience again.
Based on my experience and other public customer reviews I have seen, I am concerned that communication, accountability, and service follow-through may not be isolated issues here.
My advice to anyone who decides to visit this service department is simple: take clear photos and videos of your vehicle before dropping it off, especially around the areas where work will be performed. In my case, that documentation made a major difference in getting the issue addressed.”

“This place needs to shut down immediately. They are completely unprofessional, and there is absolutely no organization. Giving them even a single star feels like a waste. They don't employ any skilled mechanics, and the exorbitant fees they charge serve as proof that they are destined to go out of business soon. This is the worst dealership; they are completely destroying the brand reputation of both Maserati and Alfa Romeo.”

“I had a great experience with Ethan. He walked me through every feature of my Alfa and the dealership gave me a fair price for my trade in. Ethan also checked up on me to ensure I enjoyed my purchase. Kristy in finance was also fantastic (and honest). I would absolutely recommend Criswell to anyone looking for a car!!”

“Great, all the way around. My first dealing with Criswell was purchasing my Colorado truck from their Chevrolet outfit. My wife had the new car itch and we started talking about a new car in December for her. I reached out to my Chevy guy then and texted back and forth several times. Fast responses, even when he was off and having family time. Just amazing. Although Russell works at their Chevrolet dealer, he went out of his way to make this happen. Top notch all the way around! Thanks, Russell Carter.”
