I've learned that a dealers service department is who you truly have a long-term term relationship with when leasing a vehicle. You see your salesperson once every what, 2-4 years? But you see the people in the service dept much more for oil changes, tire rotations, checkups, and God forbid, repairs. So how I am treated there will determine if I continue buying from the dealership. This was my first visit to CDJR Surburban of Garden City and it was a positive one. I was treated with kindness and respect. The service employees themselves seem to work well together and there is an overall good vibe among them. I went for an oil change, tire rotation, checkup, and one recall, and I was in and out in an hour. There was a waiting room with snacks and drinks, nothing special but the cool temperature and TV made it comfortable enough. I worked with Nicole and she took the time to educate me about my car and even booked an appointment for me to get a minor issue fixed with a loaner car. I was honestly just going to let the issue go because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of not having a car, but she said a loaner car is often available IF you call a service advisor in advance and specifically request a loaner. Overall, this was a good experience and my appointment was completed in a timely manner.

I bought my 2014 Sahara Wrangler here and have utilized their service department ever since. The wait time for a repair was going to be a couple of days, but I decided to leave it. My visit was due to leaking rear axle seals. Luckily I purchased the lifetime warranty! During their multipoint inspection they discovered the front ball joints had some play, and there was already a plan to replace the front brakes, so Nicole Penny, our service writer, worked with us on a fair price to complete all the required service during the visit. The day after I picked up my Wrangler there was a serious problem! My husband talked to Service Managers Jake Illes and Cade Rzewnicki about the issue. They offered a more than generous solution to the problem, and it was arranged to drop my Jeep off the following morning. It was inspected, parts ordered, repaired and returned the following day. I will continue to utilize this service center for my Jeep needs. Nicole, Jake, and Cade took my concern seriously and followed up to make sure I was satisfied.

I had an amazing experience working with Scott Tran! From the moment I walked in, he was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely focused on helping me find the right fit instead of just making a sale. He took the time to answer all of my questions, explained everything clearly, and made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. What stood out most was his professionalism. I never felt pressured, and he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and confident in my decision. His customer service truly was exceptional, and it’s clear he really cares about his customers. Thank you again for such a great experience, Scott!

This place has a service department that never fails to fail and it’s lead by a coward who is not a leader at all. Thanksgiving morning I leave work in Detroit (I am a RN and work at one of the hospitals) to find that my truck was broken into and my display was stolen. Out of convenience, I made the poor choice of taking it to SCDJR garden city and was told that it would take a couple weeks. I had to constantly chase down the service manager as there was zero communication on his end (no wonder his department is a mess) and 2 weeks turned into 2 months, they lost one of my keys and the whole experience ended up costing me when my insurance was no longer covering rental. I got my truck back January 24th. I finally cleaned it later in the year when it was warmer only to discover that they did not detail it as I was told considering the shards of glass left behind where my daughter and dog both sit and my back door handle as well as the paint above and below the window is still damaged which I’m sure they’ll try to charge me for upon return of the lease. If this wasn’t enough, I have now discovered that out of all of the overpriced oil changes they’ve done for me- not one time did they rotate my tires despite leading me to believe so as my back tires are completely bald and my front tires have plenty of tread left on them. This last oil change I decided to go elsewhere to discover how disgusting my oil filter was and I’m confident that wasn’t changed either. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and avoid this place. I know many people in the service and sales industry and have recently found out that this store has had problems with their techs not rotating tires and charging for services that weren’t done. I am an incredibly patient and reasonable person (I am a Detroit RN after all lol) but I simply cannot rationalize the pure lack of integrity and intelligence that exists in one building. Maybe they thought because I’m a single mom-nurse that I wouldn’t know any better but I work on my own motorcycle and do indeed have knowledge regarding mechanics. Take your business elsewhere, there are plenty of reputable places that would love to have your business and service you appropriately.
