“This should be a half a star review the way I’ve been treated by the service department at Crest Cadillac.
As a loyal Cadillac customer for 30 years, I'm deeply disappointed with Crest Cadillac's service department. My Escalade Platinum was entrusted to them for repairs after I had it towed to them due to the fact that a new engine was put in by another repair shop, but they could not diagnose why it was having issues to continue running so I entrusted Cadillac and their service department to help me with the situation and work with my warranty company as the engine was replaced and paid for , but it took two months to diagnose the issue, leaving me without a loaner car. This caused additional expenses, as I had to pay for rental cars and rideshares to meet my customers and perform my job as a storm restoration professional.
Despite after paying $3,000 for repairs,
the engine light came on immediately after leaving the dealership. I contacted my service advisor, Shawn Barron, who advised me to keep driving over the weekend and bring it back on Monday. Reluctantly, I took his advice, trusting in his expertise. This resulted in my truck abruptly dying in traffic, endangering my safety and other that could’ve been catastrophic if I was on a busy highway or hill the way the truck seized up and died immediately and dead stopped and I could not restart it
Now, Crest Cadillac is trying to charge me an additional $4,000 for damaged catalytic converters, which weren't damaged nor showing codes when I initially picked up the truck. I made it clear when it was towed that I wouldn't pay for additional expenses, as I was unaware of the consequences of driving with the engine light on.
To add to my frustration I get a text message from Shawn that Logan, the shop supervisor, has shown a lack of responsibility and consideration by demanding the return of their loaner car or payment for it. My family and I are deeply appalled that Cadillac would treat a loyal customer like this and endanger the safety and lives of myself and others.
I'm in the process of contacting Cadillac corporate and the Better Business Bureau to share my experience. I strongly advise others to be cautious of this dealership, especially the service advisors who show no regard for customer safety. Considering the high prices we pay for service and satisfaction, it's unacceptable to treat loyal customers this way and put their lives at risk on the road. if crest decides to rectify the situation and replace and repair all damages that were caused from the engine light and their negligence instructing me to continue to drive my Escalade endangering my safety and the safety of others on the road I will remove my review otherwise I will continue to go to Cadillac corporate expose this dealership for their practices, endangering their loyal customers safety.
Today my truck was towed away because I had to voluntarily surrender it after ongoing mechanical issues that began following service work performed at Crest Cadillac. Since that time, I’ve dealt with repeated engine problems, major financial loss, and an exhausting back-and-forth involving repairs, my warranty company, and mounting expenses.
I have kept detailed records including paperwork, invoices, and communication documenting everything that has happened and the impact it has had on me financially.
I am asking Crest Cadillac to step up, review the full situation, and work with me toward a fair resolution or settlement. That is all I’ve wanted from the beginning accountability and a reasonable effort to make this right.
If we cannot resolve this directly, I will have no choice but to share my documented experience publicly across consumer platforms and pursue any other appropriate channels available to me.
I truly hope it doesn’t come to that. I would much rather resolve this professionally and move forward.”

“We drove from Houston to Dallas and paid cash for a vehicle Peyton was excellent and completely upfront with information and videos and upfront about a recall on our vehicle. It was very easy and quick. Pat with sales was very knowledgeable and helpful. And in the finance department even though we paid cash we had to go through them to sign paperwork and Schuyler was amazing!”
