“I am an out of state buyer and from the start Matt collard went above and beyond to get the deal done quickly. From trade in to purchase it all went super smooth and quick. Creston Tate was awesome taking care of our paperwork and warranty as well! Kirstyn shumaker contacted me very quick about getting my tag paperwork submitted to Florida. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother transaction. Thank you for being the perfect dealer for an out of state buyer! A++++”

“I would like to give a huge shout-out to Juan, Tom, and Dean! They truly made this one of the best car-buying experiences we’ve ever had—something that could have easily been very stressful.
My husband and I recently purchased a brand-new 2026 Durango, and everything went smoothly from the very beginning. Although the specific vehicle we wanted was located at a sister dealership in Glen Burnie, we wanted to support a local business and decided to move forward with this location—and we are so glad we did!
I was able to purchase my dream car, and we were treated with nothing but respect and courtesy throughout the entire process. There was a small hiccup along the way, but my husband worked closely with Tom, who handled the situation with the utmost respect and compassion. Thanks to him, everything was resolved quickly, and we were still able to have our dream vehicle delivered that same day.
My husband also worked closely with Dean, Stefan in sales, and Juan in the finance department, and each of them went above and beyond. Financing such a big purchase can be intimidating, but Juan made the process incredibly easy and transparent. He is extremely knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything, and worked hard to get us a great monthly rate—truly going the extra mile.
We will definitely be recommending this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our experience so positive—we truly appreciate it!”

“We purchases a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude from Tate Chrysler Jeep of Frederick Maryland and at the time of the sale was told it was LIFETIME ENGINE AND POWERTRAIN WARRANTY by the sales person and BELIEVED that to be true. We have done absolutely all of the service work on the vehicle Through your shop. And trusted them at their word. But they will not get buisness from me or my wife ever again! We purchased a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude from them and within a month had issues with the shifter not allowing it to go into gear so it had to go to shop for repairs and would not pick the Jeep up under warranty so we had to cover the expense of getting it to the dealer and after picking it up found that they left part loss in the center console . A couple months later had issues with both rear windows completely stopped working and again more issues with the shift so back to the dealer for more warranty work . Then two to three days later get a call saying that our vehicle was fixed and but there is a issue . The technician that was working on it took it for a test drive and did not fully latch hood down and during test drive had the hood fly open and completely destroyed the hood , both front fenders , busted the windshield, and busted the plastic below the windshield. And the service manager at the time had the nerve to ask if we would cover it under our own vehicle insurance! Absolutely no freaking way was i going for that. Had to fight with them about repair. And let them know that any repairs had to be OEM part and not effect the vehicles value. And at that time the hood was on national backorder and we waited over a month and a half to get the Jeep back. And when we did get it back the inside of the vehicle was dirty and stunk of cigarettes. Then today my wife was driving to work and had it randomly start over heating and figured out that it had a blown head gasket . So I called the dealer and was told that we were mislead and that our warranty was only 7 years unlimited mileage which was April/ 6 / 2025 so that alittle over 4 months over. They told us there isnt any type of special allowance on repairs and we were going to have to pay for full repair out of pocket. Absolutely will not do business with them ever again they are rip off scam artists. I will do the repairs myself and know that its done correctly. Then its getting traded in and buying something other than Jeep.”

“Steer Clear
My relationship with Tate began when I brought my Ram 1500 in for service due to air leaking through the dashboard. It took the dealership several weeks to properly diagnose and fix the issue.
During that time, I had to relentlessly call for status updates, as there was no proactive communication from the service department. I found myself constantly chasing the service writer for information.
The truck only had 15,000 miles on it, so it was especially disappointing when I got it back and noticed several plastic trim pieces—specifically the covers for the seat mounting bolts—were missing or broken. Once again, I had to pursue the service writer and eventually the service director. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which Tate completely ignored. I continued to follow up until I finally spoke with the service director, who—after a heated and contentious conversation—agreed to replace the broken plastic trim pieces.
I live in Frederick and genuinely want to support local businesses, so I gave Tate another chance to redeem themselves by purchasing a new vehicle. Since I already owned a Ram, I decided to stick with the same manufacturer and leased a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Unfortunately, the sales experience mirrored the poor service experience. I chose the "sign and drive" lease option and didn’t realize until I received the paperwork that the money factor translated to an interest rate of approximately 12%. This was troubling, especially after I discovered the lease could have been facilitated through Chrysler Capital at a significantly lower rate. Instead, the finance team went with Ally. I suspect this decision was driven by the higher commission or kickback associated with that financing option.
When I questioned the dealership about it, they falsely claimed that Ally was the only available lender. In my opinion, this was both unethical and predatory. I'm sharing my experience publicly because, during the process, the assistant sales manager mentioned that most of their clients are over 70 years old. I don’t want to see another person taken advantage of the way I was.
In short, I gave Tate a second chance to earn a lifelong customer after a terrible service experience, only to be misled and taken advantage of by their sales and finance departments.
I now drive 45 minutes out of my way to service my Jeep because I no longer trust Tate, and I will never do business with them again.
It’s unfortunate, but I hope this review helps someone else make a more informed decision.”
