“I purchased a car from Carmax and am mostly happy with my purchase. I appreciate that there is no price haggling and when I didn't think something was working properly, I took the car in and they had a look at it. When I found the car online it was rated a "10" in terms of features. That was not accurate from my observation so I'm feeling like I paid for features the car doesn't have. It doesn't have several of the features included on my previous car. I had already paid the transfer fee to get the car to the location closest to my home, so I wasn't going to bail on the car at that point, so went through with my purchase. Simon, the salesman, was great and followed up with me the week after my purchase. The car was missing an owner's manual so I purchased one from a local Toyota dealer and Carmax reimbursed me. Overall a good experience.”

“The experience with my salesman was 4.5. The 2 star rating is because I was sold a car that wasn’t “tuned up” before it was put up for sale. I took my car to my mechanic after purchase. He flushed the transmission and coolant. He also did an oil change. The oil wasnt too bad. The coolant and transmission fluid were burnt up. I saw the difference with my own eyes. The car, while only 2 years old, had 45k miles on it so obviously it’s been run hard. I knew this when I purchased it. But….Common sense a good company would service the car before sales knowing this but it didn’t happen. I’m glad I was on top of it. I would probably purchase a vehicle here again but I advise everyone to not expect a car that is tuned up and ready to go.”
