“Customer service and pricing were good overall. However, Mazda has a tier-based APR system, and I wish this had been clearly explained to me before they ran a hard credit inquiry.
I asked multiple times about qualification criteria, but I was only informed about the tier system after being told I didn’t qualify for the advertised rate. If this had been clarified upfront, I could have explored different options before proceeding with the credit check.
I understand that the exact Mazda based APR is determined only after running credit. However, the dealership could have done a better job explaining how the tier system works beforehand, so expectations were set clearly.
Greater transparency upfront would have made the overall experience much better.”

“We were ready to buy a car. We did the process online first. They promised they would call us. We decided to drive two hours to the Nelson Mazda at Cool Springs since we did not get a response and people did not help us at all. They said they work for salary not commission so they did not have any interest in selling us the vehicle. We even offered to pay cash and not even like that they were motivated. We decided to go to the Nelson Mazda at Murfreesboro and we got approved in seconds also they were super nice!!! We bought a beautiful car, very good deal, great people!!

Andy Veraska and Drake Plantz went far above what I’ve experienced at other dealerships. Not just in professionalism, but in genuine customer focus. They gave me full autonomy during my test drive, took the time to understand what I was looking for, and worked tirelessly to locate a very rare Mazda 3 Turbo Premium Plus when no local inventory existed.
At no point did I feel rushed or pressured. The entire experience was centered on making sure I felt confident, comfortable, and excited about my purchase. After visiting other dealerships the same day, the difference was night and day.

Mazda’s philosophy is their cars are built to focus on the driving experience and this team is also focused on ensuring the driver has a positive experience purchasing their ideal car. Justin, Drake, Jordan, Clayton, Brandon, and the team have been 100% committed to supporting my husband and me through this process.
I loved driving my Mini for years, but was getting nervous commuting on interstate 24 every day to work. I wanted something higher with the top safety features while still being able to have zoom power when merging into traffic or out of the way of trucks. The CX5 Turbo Premium package was the perfect match for me.
My husband had just purchased a Mazda in 2025, too, after decades with Toyota. I was impressed by the turbo power, the ease of driving his car, and the positive experience with the Nelson team when purchasing his car, especially the no pressure and fair trade in deal. That experience helped me to make the transition to Mazda, and we once again had a fabulous experience.
