“9 days into owning my GLC 300, purchased at Mercedes Benz Fort Myers, I have a headlight defect that no one will correct despite acknowledging in pictures I provided. I informed my salesman that there was a very dark spot in my direct line of sight at night while driving. He promptly checked with the service department and the Service Manager told him that the dark spot was normal for that car no interest in seeing the car and completely dismissive. After protesting, I got a service appointment and showed them pictures of the dark spot they again said it was normal and gave me an 800 number to open a case through Mercedes. I insisted that they check the car and left it at Mercedes. I opened a case with Mercedes Customer care at the service department’s directive, shared the picture and received an encouraging response from the agent, who after a brief hold told me to have the dealership change the bulbs. I was uncomfortable directing the Service Manager to do anything because he would not acknowledge the issue as a problem. Mercedes called Service and Service called me to say there were no bulbs that could be changed. I was told to pick up the car and shown a piece of paper that was allegedly from Mercedes engineering stating: “The 206 spotlights of the USA Version look like this: The dark oval hole of the left headlight is permanently visible; in this area we are limited in terms of lighting due to SAE regulation.” The picture I shared was not up against a wall and the dark spot was in the center not the left side of my line of sight. Not sure if they even saw my picture based on their answer. The service Manager and I were at an impasse so I asked what else I could do, and he said I could talk to the salesman. It seemed odd for the Service Manager to suggest a salesman solve a service issue and I question his intent. In fact, the salesman was no help just put into a poor position by the Service Manager and had a little meltdown. At that point I asked for the General Manager, showed him pictures of the dark spot and the loaner they gave me at night projecting light against the same backdrop. The loaner GLC 300 projection was perfect. I told the GM just replicate the loaner car’s lighting. To my surprise he said he liked the dark spot in the center of the field of vision. I said I preferred that my line of sight be lit up and not the ditch. In summary I was completely stonewalled. When I asked for the GM direct report, he said no. I said I would memorialize his refusal in an email chain I have going on this issue, he became somewhat more cooperative. My ask is for my headlights to project light as the like and kind loaner car. I like everything else about the car. I chose Mercedes based on safety features and the dark spot is unsafe. I await hearing back from the next level of management and will update accordingly. First update -Got the unrepaired car back home and now the check engine light is on. They asked me to drive it in and I said I didn't want to hurt the engine. They said maybe they could check to see if it was okay to drive remote. Probably should have been there first move not my suggestion not sure just using common sense right or wrong.”

“Michael, the manager at this facility is outstanding. They took care of me perfectly, and even found a fix for my rearview camera that was making noises. Handle seamlessly and gave me a loaner car during the process. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. One of the best dealerships around.”

“Be careful of the service department. My last two appointments were extremely disappointing. They wanted to charge me 1000 to take off the rear bumper and connect two wires. When I asked to speak to the service manager my service liason lowered the price to 700. After i again asked to speak to the service manager he said he would lower the price to 100 provided I gave him a great review which I regrettably did. My last service appt the bill came to 1300 which sounded reasonable to me. When finishing they gave me the bill plus a four point inspection provided by the service technician. The report said I needed another 5000 mostly urgent work. Of course I declined. They then charged me an additional 3% for paying with a credit card. I complained about the “urgent” additional 5000 service report and cc report. In their survey I gave them a bad report. Immediately for 5 straight days the service department phoned me trying to get to me to change my critical survey. In fact they offered me 1000 of incentives to write a good review. I will never go back and recommend going elsewhere for service. Bill Safrin”

“I had the BEST car-buying experience at this dealership, and it’s all thanks to John Thomas (JT). From the moment my mom and I walked in, he made us feel comfortable, respected, and never once pressured. JT was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond to make sure I understood every detail throughout the process. What I appreciated most was that he wasn’t pushy at all—something that matters even more when it’s just two women walking into a dealership. JT treated us with genuine care, honesty, and professionalism. He listened to exactly what I wanted, walked me through all my options, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I ended up purchasing a 2025 C300, and I can honestly say this was the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car. If you’re looking for someone who actually cares about you getting the right car and not just making a sale, JT is the person you want to work with. Highly recommend him!”
