“August 8th 2026. We bought a 2020 trax on 5/05/2026. Picked the car up on 5/13/2026 because the salesman said they had to fix the dash cluster and the check engine light that was on. When we picked it up the car was very nasty inside, they didn't even clean it at all. Started down the road got about 2 blocks and the warning light came on for a low tire. Went back and had them put air in tire. Warning system showed right rear tire was low, the person checking the tires said it was the right front tire that was low and the right rear had to much air in it. I asked if he could recalibrate the sensors in the wheels, that would take about 2 minutes, he said we don't work on chevrolet here and he didn't know how to calibrate a chevy. We got back on the road and I got onto the freeway, as soon as I stepped on the gas the car started running rough and the check engine light came back on. I had to drive the car for 2 weeks before I could get it back to them because my salesman that sold me the car went on vacation nobody else would help me untill he came back. When I got the car home I looked at the wheels and seen a lugnut was missing from the right rear. As I looked closer I seen the lug itself looked like it was broken. As I looked closer I saw the lug had worked its way into the hub. That would not be good if it went all the way in and took out the brake system on the highway. I had to fix that myself just to be able to drive the car. I took a lugnut from the left rear wheel to put on the right rear so i could draw the lug back into the hub where it belonged. On 7/16/26 the car was delivered to me and the first thing I noticed was the lugnut was missing from the left rear wheel, they didn't even replace it. Then when I started the car the dash cluster still did not work. They had the car for 2 months and didn't repair it, So I called Suburban Ford and told them this is not acceptable, I sent the car back to the shop with the person that delivered it. I have had this car in my possession for 2 weeks out of 3 months. Suburban Ford in Ferndale has had my car for about 3 months now. Why does it take 3 months to fix a car that should have been fixed before it ever left the lot the first time. I do not recommend buying a used car from Suburban Ford in Ferndale. Especially if you are a senior citizen. I am 74 years old and my wife is 72. Any place else would take maybe a week to do what they can't do in 3 months. J.R.Harvey”

“Hate to do this but left me with no choice... I just bought a 2017 Ford Escape with this dealership on July 3rd 2026. 2 weeks I have had this car and I have ALREADY had to take it into their service TWICE including today! First incident that popped up was a Check Engine light the day I bought the car (JULY 3RD) and drove off (there wasn't ANY LIGHTS ON THE DASH WHEN I TEST DROVE THE CAR!!) THE light was for an Emissions Purge Valve. I took it in last Monday July 13th and got the car back Tuesday July 14th. Daniel was the service advisor who took care of my transaction. Second incident just popped up yesterday July 19th 2026 while I was driving on the freeway. I came off the ramp and my car was SMOKING from the left front. I pulled over and saw that my coolant was EMPTY! SO I decided to fill the coolant to the max line and drive back home which is only 10 mins away and pulled up and behold the coolant is EMPTY again. Took it into service today July 20th 2026 (Daniel took care of the transaction again) they found out it was a weak hose clamp that caused the coolant leak. So picked up the car at 10:45am today and drove home. I open the hood and the cap on the coolant was not SECURELY closed so I had to close it ALL the way. The liquid was past the Max line but I was told by service advisor it was because the engine was running which made it look like it was filled past the line. It has ONLY BEEN 2 WEEKS since I had this car so I am really worried in what's going to happen next... I did pay extra money for a 2 year Warranty (thank God) because if I hadn't I would be paying hundreds of dollars for the fixes I have already came across. Please if you do buy from this dealership PLEASE just BEWARE of what you're buying before getting stuck... My Sales Advisor was Joshua Arcos. Will update if need be!”

“A huge thank you to Carrie and the entire Ford Ferndale team! My husband Christopher got a Bronco recently and they made the whole experience so special. The balloons and giant ribbon were such a sweet surprise and made the moment unforgettable. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was truly the best car-buying experience we've ever had, and a memory we'll cherish forever and we gained an amazing friend too! Thank you once again Carrie!!!”

“Suburban has truly stepped it up in the customer service realm. They are making a huge commitment to making sure customers feel valued, and that they establish a strong neighborhood/community feeling! I’ve purchased my last 8 vehicles from them, and after my last experience, I know that I won’t be going anywhere else to purchase my vehicles. The general manager, Terry, is awesome. He’s changing the culture of the dealership, and his efforts are showing. The service department is filled with amazingly helpful staff members, who truly strive to satisfy the customers! I’m so happy to have this dealership in my neighborhood! My most recent experience? After leasing/purchasing quite a few cars from Suburban Ford of Ferndale over the years (between my wife and I), I leased, and then purchased a 2018 Ford Explorer Sport. Unfortunately, while still paying it off, I was dismayed to find out my engine needed possibly $11-$12,000 worth of repairs. After pleading my case, and having the opportunity to speak with their new general manager, Terry Lange, I am happy to say that my loyalty over the years has paid off. Today, I am grateful and appreciative, as I now have a brand new Ford F-150 to drive, and am completely free and clear of my Explorer. For a while, I was concerned that my loyalty to Suburban was in jeopardy, because I was having a hard time feeling that “neighborhood/community” feeling. The dealership is located right at the end of my street, and I love that convenience. But, it seemed like there was an issue with the culture, as the turnover of salespeople and service providers seemed to be constant. I hadn’t had the opportunity to work with the same person twice. However, Terry and the staff seem committed to changing that, and I’m glad to be here for it! I highly recommend you give them a call next time you are in the market for a vehicle! Shout outs to Alex and Sam for working with me in the service department, and advocating for me through the process. Thanks to the service department managers for listening and hearing me out, and to Josh and Derrick in sales and finance, who took great care of me and walked me through such an easy process! Finally, another thank you to Terry for making me and my wife feel valued. We applaud your efforts, and hope you are successful in your endeavors. Also, thanks for allowing me to return to have a bed liner installed afterward! That was awesome of you!!! Thanks!!!”
