I purchased a 2018 Dodge Durango SRT from this dealership and what has followed has been one of the most frustrating vehicle-buying experiences I’ve ever had. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing significant mechanical issues. What started as a check engine light and performance problems has now led to a Dodge dealership diagnosing what may be internal engine failure. I have spent countless hours taking the vehicle to repair facilities, communicating with service departments, and trying to determine what is actually wrong with a vehicle that should never have been sold in this condition. Throughout this process, I have learned that there may have been prior repair attempts or mechanical issues that were not reflected in the vehicle history information available to me at the time of purchase. Had I known the full condition and history of this vehicle, I would never have purchased it. The financial impact has been substantial. Diagnostic charges alone continue to add up, and I am now facing the possibility of major engine repairs on a vehicle I have owned for only a short period of time. What is most disappointing is that customers trust dealerships to sell vehicles that have been properly inspected and accurately represented. When you purchase a performance SUV like a Durango SRT, you expect reliability and transparency, not repeated breakdowns, warning lights, repair appointments, and the possibility of catastrophic engine failure. I am currently exploring my legal options and documenting everything related to this purchase. I would encourage anyone considering buying from AP Fairfax to obtain an independent pre-purchase inspection, thoroughly review all available service records, and proceed with extreme caution. This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and expensive. I sincerely hope no other customer has to go through what I have experienced.”
