“I went to Team Kia of El Cajon to lease a new Kia Sorento and had a mixed but ultimately frustrating experience. The salesperson we worked with was great. He spent time with us, answered questions, and was pleasant to work with. The facility itself was also clean and nice. The initial lease worksheet they presented was very simple, with only about 6–7 figures shown. However, as I pushed for better pricing, the paperwork became more complex rather than clearer, expanding to 20+ line items in a way that made the deal increasingly difficult to understand. Instead of increased transparency, the numbers felt cluttered with additional figures, fees, and options that obscured the true cost of the lease. Incentives that should have applied to my situation were also not clearly presented up front. I ultimately went to another Kia dealership to lease the same model and trim. I also pressed them on pricing, and the experience was completely different. They kept the numbers straightforward, applied applicable incentives, and were willing to negotiate. I was able to reach a significantly lower and fair price than what Team Kia of El Cajon was willing to offer, which confirmed my concerns about this experience. I recommend getting multiple quotes and carefully reviewing the paperwork before committing.”
