“I cannot say enough good things about Johnny at Michael's Auto Plaza. He solved a massive transportation problem during one of the most difficult times in my life. After selling my Vermont home and with no money or place to live temporarily, I bought a camper as a backup plan when an RV deal fell through. My plan was to tour all 63 U.S. national parks, starting in Arizona, with a stop in Schenectady to visit relatives. Unfortunately, my Jeep couldn't safely tow the camper, leaving me stranded and unsure of how to continue. That's when Johnny stepped in, worked his magic, and made the impossible happen. He got me into a 2017 F-150 4x4 Super Cab XLT--with not one penny out of pocket. A high school kid can sell you a car, but it takes experience, creativity, and problem-solving skills to handle a situation like mine. I had spoken to several dealerships that promised they could help, but their hands were tied when it came to anything beyond standard deals. Johnny, however, is a true problem solver, and that's what sets him apart from the competition. As a sign on their building says, "When the competition gives you a concussion, see me, Mike the Russian." After finding the truck on Cars.com, I filled out the financial info, and Johnny came back with a pre-approval. Unlike most dealers who just want to get you in the door, Johnny understood that pulling a camper around town to shop wasn't feasible. Everything was ready when I arrived. Another dealer had demanded I retrieve my Jeep's title from my storage unit near the Canadian border before even starting the process--a 500-mile round trip with my service dog I couldn't manage. Johnny, on the other hand, told me to just show up with the vehicle. "We take care of everything," he said--and they did. A quick call to Geico to transfer insurance was all it took. When a snag came up with the title transfer, Johnny personally drove my dog and me to the bank to get it notarized. In 30 minutes, we were back finishing the all-electronic digital paperwork, including the vehicle payoff--which exceeded the trade-in value by thousands and was already more than any other dealer had offered. Then, after the deal was approved, Johnny told me they had replaced all the brakes--including rotors--and put new tires on all four wheels while prepping the truck. On top of that, he threw in a 60-MO / 60,000-MI warranty on all major components--without changing my monthly payment. For most people, a vehicle is vital transportation--but for me, it was survival. I needed a truck with a 7-pin plug to charge the camper battery, which powered the heat through the propane tank. Johnny understood the stakes and delivered when others failed.
