“CarMax West honored an online offer on my 2012 Ford F150, which was registered out of state. Despite this, I had a check for my truck in little over one hour after walking in the store. Joaquin was a true gentleman throughout the process. This is the second car I have sold to a Carmax outlet and the 3rd time I've received an offer that was quite fair. For someone ready to sell and move on with life, free of BS and complications, CarMax provides a great experience. Thank you, CarMax and especially Joaquin and the team that supported my sale.”

“Received a quote for my BMW that was valid for 10 days. Immediately after getting the quote, I called CarMax’s regional sales team in Arizona and clearly explained that I was only waiting on my title, which the DMV told me would arrive in about 10 business days. I was explicitly told this would not be an issue and that my original quote would be honored once the title arrived. When the title finally came in, I went straight to the El Paso CarMax location and explained everything again. Despite following their instructions exactly, I was told my quote had “expired” and they issued a new offer $3,000 LOWER — just 13 days later. This experience was incredibly misleading and dishonest. CarMax gave me false reassurance, failed to honor what their own representatives told me, and then used a technicality to slash the value of my car. Nothing about the vehicle changed — only their willingness to stand by their word. Take this as a warning: do not trust what CarMax tells you over the phone, and do not assume they will honor their quotes, even if you follow their instructions. This location has proven they are willing to mislead customers and devalue vehicles without justification. Extremely disappointing and a complete waste of time.”
