“We drove from Las Cruces (an hour away) to Porsche El Paso for a routine annual service on our 2024 Porsche Macan. What should have been a simple oil change turned into one of the most frustrating dealership experiences we’ve ever had.
When my wife picked up the vehicle on Tuesday, February 17th, she immediately noticed a clear dent on the driver’s side door. This is a meticulously maintained vehicle — hand washed, babied, flawless. There is no chance this dent existed before service.
When she brought it up, Cesar (service advisor) admitted he had noticed it — yet no one called us. Instead, they initially implied it may have already been there. Only after my wife insisted did they review their intake photos. The photos proved the dent did NOT exist at drop-off.
Only then did the apologies begin.
We were told to bring the car back and that their “dent guy” would fix it quickly and it would be “as good as new.” They offered a loaner so we wouldn’t have to make multiple trips from Las Cruces.
On Thursday, February 19th, I drove the vehicle back. Upon arrival, Cesar and Sergio (service manager) informed me their dent specialist “couldn’t make it” that day — something no one bothered to communicate beforehand. I was assured it would be repaired first thing Friday morning and ready by noon. We shook hands. They promised better communication.
Friday at 12:15 p.m. — no call.
I called Cesar. No answer.
I called Sergio. He casually informed me the car was NOT fixed and would now need to go to a body shop because their dent specialist couldn’t repair it. This was the first time we were told that possibility.
I had rearranged work, missed nearly two full days, and made multiple round trips from Las Cruces based entirely on promises that turned out to be inaccurate.
When I asked for the GM, he joined the call. To his credit, he acknowledged the multiple failures. But during that same conversation, he discovered that Sergio had mistakenly given me a used Porsche from their sales inventory instead of an authorized loaner vehicle — a car that was not supposed to be loaned out.
That is not a minor oversight. That is a breakdown in internal control.
To summarize:
• They damaged the vehicle.
• They failed to notify us.
• They initially implied it may have been pre-existing.
• They gave repeated inaccurate timelines.
• They failed to communicate at critical moments.
• They issued the wrong vehicle as a loaner.
• They cost us time, work, and trust.
As of February 20th, the vehicle has now been transported to a body shop. The body shop manager has been the only person throughout this process who has demonstrated professionalism and ownership.
This is Porsche — a brand built on precision and excellence. What we experienced was disorganized, careless, and reactive.
Because of this experience, we will now make the three-hour drive to Porsche Albuquerque for all future service rather than return to Porsche El Paso. That should say everything.
The dent can be repaired. The trust cannot.
This situation is still unfolding in real time. I will update this review once the bodywork is completed and we see the final outcome.
Update: Still frustrated. The Macan was supposed to be ready yesterday, 2/24/26, but Yvonne said it would likely be ready today, 2/25/26, around 11 a.m. I appreciated the communication. By noon, no call, so I reached out. Sergio said he’d check and texted that it was ready. I cleared my schedule to drive to El Paso, then called to confirm and was told the car was not ready. After another heated conversation and being told I was “confused,” Jeff Pester (GM) admitted they dropped the ball AGAIN. He now says he’ll communicate directly and deliver the car on Thursday, 2/26/26, assuming the paint match and repair are correct. The nightmare continues.
Final Update 2/26/26: They delivered the car and looks perfect! Everyone has been apologetic and a bad situation ended on a good note.”

“Salesperson Moises treated me and my son very well. He allowed both of us to test drive a car especially being that the car was a 2 seater. Moises is kind, patient and answered our questions with ease and never with any pressure to make a sale. We were comfortable with the sale and outcome of financing. In finance, Jose Luis is most professional and explained everything well without pressuring us to buy any extras. Porsche dealership is great! We recommend it!”
