“Maria is by far the best sales person I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She was professional and patient with our family in deciding between several vehicles and at the same time moved with precision on all areas of the sale. I will without a doubt recommend reaching out to her for your vehicle needs!”

“We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Sport Durst Jeep in Durham. Unfortunately, our interaction with Mike McLachlan, the used car sales manager, was the worst part of the entire process.
During our visit, there was clear confusion and miscommunication involving two different sales associates. When we asked for help and clarification, Mike acted completely unaware of the situation and offered no support. Instead of working toward a solution or even trying to understand our concerns, he dismissed the situation and showed no willingness to assist.
What was most concerning was when he openly stated that it was “not his job to establish trust with a customer.” For a manager in a customer-facing role, this attitude was shocking and unprofessional. Building trust is the foundation of any business, especially in car sales.
Rather than addressing the issue, he literally threw up his hands and walked away from the conversation. We were left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and frustrated.
We went in hoping to work with a dealership that valued transparency and customer relationships. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling the exact opposite. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this dealership to proceed with caution.”

“So i went to this jeep dealership JUST to test drive a car. I let my salesman know this from the very beginning, informing him of my want to research a few cars before making a final decision. Things were going well with the salesman and after a test drive, he went inside to get a key for me to see a Wagoneer S. Not to test drive but just to see the inside because I didn’t want to waste more of his time. When he came back, the manager, Michael, was with him. He then talked to me for about 15-20 minutes about why I would not qualify for a a certain car and financing option. I never said that I didn’t have any money down but he assumed I didn’t. He then suggested I look at a Hyundai or Mitsubishi instead, all but refusing to allow me to look at the Wagoneer S. The experience made me feel like utter crap. Super unfortunate.
UPDATE 1-21-2026: I’m adding this update because I recently returned to Sport Durst Jeep Wrangler & Ram hoping for a better experience — and unfortunately, I left even more disappointed.
When I walked in, there was clearly some sort of meeting happening. Several salespeople saw me enter, but no one greeted me, acknowledged me, or told me someone would be with me shortly. After waiting for several minutes, I actually called the dealership’s receptionist from my own phone to ask if there was a meeting going on. I was told they weren’t in a meeting, but I was transferred to a random sales rep — and of course it went to voicemail… because they were, in fact, in a meeting.
Still, no one approached me or communicated anything for about 10 minutes, until the meeting was over.
Eventually, I was approached by Alex, and I want to be clear: Alex was amazing. He was professional, personable, and patient. He let me test drive the two vehicles I was interested in and made the only part of this experience that felt respectful and customer-focused.
After the test drives, we started the process of qualifying. Due to my current situation — including the aftermath of a car accident and a credit profile that requires clarity and honest discussion — I was given a figure that wasn’t favorable. That part I can understand.
However, I asked to speak directly with the finance manager so I could get details and better understand my options. When Alex went to relay that request, the finance manager appeared exasperated, told him to “hold on,” and Alex and I sat waiting for another 7 minutes while I watched the finance manager talk, joke, and entertain coworkers without acknowledging the request or approaching us.
At that point, I told Alex never mind. Alex tried to stall and keep things moving, but the finance manager still never came.
This experience confirmed that this dealership simply isn’t willing to communicate or work with you unless you’re an easy deal on paper.
What makes this most disappointing is that shortly after, I went to Johnson Hyundai of Apex, put $500 down, and drove away in a leased 2026 Hyundai vehicle with a payment lower than my previous note — because they were willing to take time, explain options, and treat me like a person.
Sport Durst staff could honestly take notes from Johnson Hyundai’s level of professionalism and customer care.
Again, Alex was great, and should consider a dealership change.”

“This has been the far worst experience I ever had with any repair shop and dealership. Zero communication unless I reached out. I left my vehicle Thursday at 8:30 am as my appointment was booked. I was told I could leave it or wait but there were several cars ahead of me. I was not told it would take days! (Plus why book a vehicle for a diagnostic if you don’t have staff or time to complete) That afternoon no call and I assumed it would be available the second day and maybe they got busy. Friday morning no call or text - so I reach out. They said it would be that afternoon possibly since there was still 5 cars ahead of me. I explained that was fine but would appreciate more transparency and communication since I’m a mom of 3 and I need my vehicle. Friday PM comes and goes. Saturday morning I reach out upset and leave a vm requesting info on my vehicle. Finally 1pm I get a call saying they could not find the issue and the diagnostic regulator pay usually is 1 hr but they need more time and would need another 1hr which would raise my DIAGNOSTIC fee to $400 and some change. But they still were unsure what was wrong with my car. I approved just for times sake cause this is day 3 and still no idea of what’s wrong with my van and I just want it taken care of. It’s now Monday. No one has called me and I’m very disappointed in the professionalism, lack of communication and just disregard for my personal time. I think as soon as I can I want to retrieve my van and go else where.
And mind you if they told me some realistic expectations I would have better prepared. 5 days no vehicle as a mom of 3 is ridiculous. I left important docs and items and still have not been able to retrieve them.
Its Monday 4pm and still no one has called and I still don’t have my van or a full diagnostic to my van.”

“I had an outstanding car-buying experience at Sport Durst and can truly say this dealership sets the bar incredibly high. From the moment we agreed on a price, their honesty and transparency stood out—something rare these days. They even applied a military discount afterward and lowered the price even more without hesitation or complaints. That level of integrity is worth highlighting.
Salesman DaJohn was great to work with—professional, patient, and straightforward. I must say that Rickey Walker was absolutely exceptional. Rickey is the kind of person who makes you feel genuinely taken care of, providing customer service at the absolute highest level. After purchasing over 20 vehicles in the last 25 years, I can confidently say Rickey is the best I’ve ever dealt with.
His commitment goes beyond words—he even took the time to drive my older car home at 10 PM just to help me out. That kind of dedication is unheard of and speaks volumes about his character and the dealership’s values.
I highly recommend Sport Dust to anyone looking for a smooth, honest, and pleasant car-buying experience. They truly make you feel like a priority, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.”
