“We had an oil change done at Spitzer Ford in DuBois on 12/31 and the experience has been beyond unacceptable. First, we were quoted around $313 and ended up being charged $568. They ran out of inspection stickers so they were not able to do an inspection on our vehicle. We were supposed to receive full synthetic oil and did not. Basic service checks that we paid for were not properly completed. (Did not top off fluids or inflate tires to spec like it was supoosed to be done.) We felt pressured into paying even after having the employee double check the service order being right because even she felt it was wrong... we had to pay it because we were already there and had no real choice.
Now it gets worse. We just discovered that our old oil filter was put back on the truck and it is actively leaking oil. That is a serious safety issue and could have caused catastrophic engine damage if we hadn’t caught it in time.
We have reached out and waited for a response and have received none. Now we go public with it.
This isn’t a small mistake. Reusing an old filter and sending a vehicle out leaking oil is negligence. It puts people at risk and shows a complete lack of care and quality control.
Between:
The massive price jump
The wrong oil being used
The incomplete service
The reused, leaking oil filter
And the lack of response afterward
We cannot recommend doing business here. We trusted them with our vehicle (as we have for the last few years) and were met with carelessness that could have cost us thousands of dollars in repairs.
Please check your vehicles carefully if you’ve had recent service done, and consider your options before choosing this location. Accountability matters, especially when it comes to safety.
We will be going back in Monday morning and demanding they fix this issue. This is our family vehicle. The vehicle that works many miles and hours for our family business, Williams Custom Fab. Coming from one business owner to another, we could never imagine running our business like this.
*Editing to add they have commented publicly they want to fix the issue, but haven't returned phone calls, emails, and removed the tag I had on my Facebook post I put up after giving them 10 days to respond.”

“Great experience with this dealership! I'm a New Yorker and was driving my F550 through PA on business last week. Had the truck go in to reduce power mode on the highway. Isaac at Spitzer Ford in Dubois took my desperate call for help! He was courteous and understanding when I explained my problem. Told me to bring the truck in the next morning! Upon arriving at their heavy truck repair facility, (with no appointment) everyone was friendly and ready to help! Huge thank you to Brad, Joe, the ladies in the office and especially Ryan, the mechanic. Ryan went right to work on my truck even though I'm sure I totally messed up his morning plans! Found an electrical problem and had the truck running great in less than 2 hours! Very reasonable price and NO rush service charge. HIGHLY recommend the folks at Spitzer Ford! Thank you all!”
