“Thank you Fred Beans. I've purchased a lot of vehicles in my life and this was one of the best experiences i have ever had at a car dealership. Ruben the salesmen was professional and had everything ready for me when I arrived. The gentlemen in finance was great and very personable. Just a great experience from beginning to end.
Thank you,
Greg”

“I had an amazing experience at Fred Beans Chevy thanks to Dan in sales and Ag in finance. From start to finish, they were incredibly helpful, professional, and patient, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was completely comfortable with every step.
Dan went above and beyond to help me find the right car, and Ag made the financing process easy and straightforward. Together, they truly made buying a car an enjoyable experience. I’m so happy with my purchase and couldn’t have asked for better assistance. I highly recommend working with them if you’re looking for a great car-buying experience!”

“Never buy a vehicle, warranty, or service from Fred Beans Chevrolet of Doylestown.
Short version: they told me my truck needed a full engine replacement for $15,700, in writing and verbally—right up until they found out I had a GM factory warranty. Then the story suddenly changed.
Vehicle: 2017 Chevy Silverado
Timeline:
• Dropped truck off for engine noise and shifting issues
• Tony (service) told me it needed a full engine replacement
• Written estimate showed engine replacement ~$15,700
• The moment I disclosed my GM warranty, they backtracked and said they needed to “tear down the engine” instead
If I didn’t have a warranty, they were ready to swipe my credit card. Once GM was paying, the diagnosis magically changed.
I contacted GM directly. A GM rep reviewed the estimate and confirmed that the documentation supported an engine replacement. Fred Beans still refused to honor it.
Chris (service manager) later admitted Tony should never have told me I needed a full engine replacement—despite it being documented. I was forced to accept a partial repair instead of the replacement I was promised.
This truck has had:
• $4,500 major repair at ~50k miles
• $4,500 breakdown repair at ~73k miles
• Major engine failure at ~90k miles
A piecemeal repair on a failing engine with a warranty about to expire is unacceptable.
We bought two vehicles from Fred Beans (Silverado + Suburban). Loyalty meant nothing.
GM’s response after BBB complaints? $500 toward a new Chevy. Insulting.
Employees to be cautious of (my experience):
• Tony (Service) – misinformation
• Chris (Service Manager) – acknowledged mistakes, still refused replacement
• Alan (Sales) – eager to sell, disappears when there’s a problem
Bottom line:
This dealership changes diagnoses based on who’s paying, does not stand by their word, and does not protect customers.
Avoid Fred Beans Chevy Doylestown at all costs.

“My fiance purchased a used 2018 Ram from here on 11/15/25. The sales person was good, as was the finance manager we worked with. However at the time of sale, the truck had to return to service twice (on a Saturday) because the repair they did prior to sale was not finished properly. We requested that they change the fuel filter because that's a pricey maintenance item that was due (20%) but they declined. Also, noting that the front brake rotors are scored & were also in need of replacement at the time of sale. The last item I'd like to mention is that the temporary plates provided expire in 60 days (yesterday) and we have not yet received the permanent plates, leaving us now unable to legally drive the vehicle. I am very disappointed, we spent a lot of hard earned money to purchase this vehicle & we've had to put a lot more into it in a matter of 60 days, only for it to be unable to be driven due to their negligence/ lack of communication and they can't be bothered to return a phone call about it; this will be the last time we purchase from Fred Beans.”

“We had a great experience with Fred Beans Chevy. We live a couple of hours away, and the team was extremely transparent with us before we even made the drive, which we really appreciated. Wade was our salesperson, and he was very personable, knowledgeable, and efficient—he made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. We purchased a used Jeep, and everything from start to finish went smoothly. The honesty and professionalism made the long drive completely worth it. We would absolutely recommend this dealership to others.”
