“I used Carmax of Dayton for the first time to sell my father's vehicle. He was no longer driving and wanted to sell it. I had received an offer from a local dealership near the house and also got an online offer from Carmax which was a better offer than the local dealership. I took his car to Carmax of Dayton and after a tech looked over his car, drove it, etc., the Business Office issued a final offer, and they did not reduce the offer, it was the same as the online offer which was a very good price for my dad's 2014 vehicle with low miles 40K. The Business Office Associate made the process very easy. He handled my Power of Attorney paperwork to handle my father's business without issue. He answered any questions I had and walked me through the process. Once the paperwork started, I had a check in hand within 30-45 minutes (note: they issue bank drafts - which just means you have to deposit the check into your bank account, you can't simply go somewhere and cash it, it must first be deposited). The staff was very friendly and professional. My first time experience with Carmax of Dayton was positive, enough so, that I would consider using them again if I needed to sell a car. Also, if I were in the market to buy a used car I would visit them first, they seem very fair on pricing and have a huge selection of cars.
