“I purchased my 2017 Ford Explorer from this dealership in May. During the test drive, I noticed it sounded louder than expected, but everything else drove perfectly. When I asked, I was told it was just because it had a bigger engine. We trusted buying from a dealership meant the vehicle had been properly inspected, but a few months later we discovered both mufflers were completely corroded and split. We had to pay another $400 on top of the $17,000 purchase price to replace them. There’s no way both mufflers deteriorated that badly in only five months, and the vehicle is now much quieter than it ever was before, proving the issue was there when we bought it. While $400 isn’t huge, I feel misled, especially since I specifically asked about the noise and was reassured there were no problems.”
