On the morning of Valentine's Day, I visited the Hyundai O'Hare dealership for a standard oil change and tire rotation appointment. I have been getting my car’s maintenance done at this location since I purchased it in 2021, and I usually expect the process to take about 1.5 to 2 hours, which has never bothered me since I can simply read in the lobby while I wait. However, the issue during this visit was my interaction with a new service agent named NINA, whom I had never dealt with before. Previously, I had wonderful experiences with either Matt or Kevin, my former service advisors. After I handed Nina my keys and car, she directed me to the lobby to check in. Everything seemed standard so far. About ten minutes later, Nina approached me to check me in and presented a sheet detailing services totaling $1,200. I understand that dealerships train their staff to upsell services following an oil change; I'm not oblivious to that. However, Nina's approach was far from acceptable. She aggressively pressured me to approve these additional services, despite my insistence that they were not necessary for my car’s health at the time. As I repeatedly declined, Nina began asking personal questions about my reasons for refusing the services. She even inquired about my plans for the day, trying to understand why I wouldn't pay for the services if I had no other commitments. Her insistence made me wonder if the dealership was facing financial difficulties. When I refused those additional services AGAIN. Nina suggested-right in front of a packed lobby-that if costs were an issue to me, she could help me apply for a credit card or loan to cover the cost for the additional services she wanted to upsell me. I was appalled by her suggestion, and I firmly said no again. After 10-15 minutes of this humiliating experience, she finally took my car for the service I originally requested. I have never encountered such an aggressive and humiliating upsell before. I left the dealership feeling completely disgusted with Nina's customer service skills. Not only will she never receive those $1,200 from me, but this experience has also cost the dealership my loyalty as a long-time customer.

I honestly wish I could give this place 0 stars. My husband and I were ready to purchase a car, checkbook in hand, yet we had to walk out due to how uncomfortable Dimitri made us feel. From the moment he came out to talk to us about pricing, he seemed to have some sort of prejudice against us due to our race. His comments and tone were completely condescending and unprofessional – even trying to make personal attacks against my husband's profession and accusing us of trying to negotiate in bad faith (mind you, we were ready to purchase at the offered price and he was the one who kept backpedaling on the potential discount amount). It was as if he actively did not want to make the sale. Unfortunately we left without a car, but at least we didn't give our business to this joke of a dealership. Also, you can skip your canned response to call your GM - we already tried that and of course no one cares to give a call back. Not to mention the automated "how was your visit?" email after you give them your information comes from a GM who isn't even with the dealership anymore. I sincerely hope this place gets their leadership figured out and someone trains Dimitri to treat people as humans, and with even a morsel of respect.

I had recall work done and it was refreshing to have a dealership just make things go so smooth. I made my appt over the phone. Spoke with the service manger. He was able to take my in right away, got my ride to work on time and was picked up at the right time and my car was finished on time. Gave my explanations of all that was done and to come back when the weather permitted them to wash the car. Very knowledgeable about the fix and answered all my questions that I could understand. I highly recommend AutoNation Hyundai Ohare.

I have delt with alot of dealerin my life. But I have never been satified because they always mess something up and just their attitude against you. But today I incounter Matthew a service advisor from AutoNation Hyndai on River Rd in Des Plaines. There isn't any words I could say! If this app had a ten star I would give him 10 stars for going above and beyond. The man was so patient with me dealing with my payment, dealing with the issue from a different dealer. I mean Matthew has earned my business just for being a Godly man that he is! Matthew if you read this I pray that God Bless you 3 times more, let your cup of life over fill with all of your dreams and thank you!

I had a 2018 Jeep Compass. Checked the prices offered by others and because of convenience I Chose Auto Nation O’Hare( Oakton and River Rd, Des Plaines) they offered me the highest rate. I had the honor and pleasure to work with Darren Conwell, he is very professional but very friendly. Made me feel comfortable. They took a look at my car and it was decided that it had one issue. The offer given on line went down very little. I had in hand all the documents needed ( DL, Car registration, Tittle, release of the lien and receipt from the DMV( my tittle was only under my name not too much after 60 days). I walked out with a check in my hand and very satisfied on how they treated me and made me feel. Overall a great , great experience.
