“We recently bought an Escalade from the dealership. It started out pleasant enough. We test drove the vehicle where I noticed a star chip in the windshield. When I asked about it the agent said he was sure that had already been taken care of. My husband asked if it would be covered if it hadn’t and the agent said yea but he was sure it had already been done. We bought the vehicle. In less than a months time the star became a crack. My husband called. Before anyone got back with him the 6” crack became a foot long. When we finally got someone they said they wouldn’t do anything because there was nothing in writing. We explained the conversation we’d had with the agent…nope…you didn’t get it in writing so we don’t have to fix it. I guess maybe we’re not modern enough. My husband and I are from a day when you still paid cash for a vehicle, a handshake was a man’s bond, and a man’s word still meant something. If you’re looking for service after the sale this is not the dealership for you.”
