“I would never have anyone I care about go to this company. They are god awful. Customer service nope. There sales people walking around on Snapchat, Social Media and telling everyone no I can’t help I’m going on lunch in 30 mins sorry sure not a problem. No haggle pricing on there products but sell or trade in car they will haggle and drop the price to a take it or leave it. Love the double standards!!!! Stay away far away this company and buy and car anywhere else.”

“This was one of the most unprofessional and upsetting experiences my family has ever had.
My mom received an appraisal over the phone, called ahead to confirm we had all the correct paperwork, and arrived fully prepared. After that, we were left sitting for over four hours, repeatedly being told “30 more minutes” with no real updates or respect for our time.
During those hours, employees had already removed the plates from the truck and moved it into the back lot, making it appear that the sale was actively being completed. Multiple staff members assured us everything was fine and moving forward.
Only after four hours of waiting did the manager, Tom, come out and abruptly tell my mother they could not buy the truck because it was a Rhode Island situation involving a death certificate. This was the first time it was treated as an issue despite several employees previously confirming it was not a problem.
Even worse, Tom handled the situation with zero professionalism or compassion. Instead of speaking privately, he openly repeated sensitive details about the death certificate in the middle of the store over and over again. At a time when my family is grieving a major loss, his lack of discretion and basic empathy was shocking.
This was a complete failure of communication, management, and customer service. Tom should not be the person representing any business that claims to value its customers.”

“Have you ever bought a car before? Then you know how the salesperson won’t stop harassing you till they make a sale? You can’t even speak to a live person at this CarMax as they’re too busy standing around doing absolutely nothing to answer your call. Then I come in to take the car out for a test drive and of course, I have to come back another day to purchase the car as it was closing time for these weak “people”! Finally, Jessica, who finished up the sale with me is so uneducated with the whole selling process that she gave me wrong information and paperwork for the RMV and insurance company! But at least she gave me her personal number and said if I ever have any issues to contact her but of course, she didn’t reply back. CarMax lost a customer for life and that’s a big deal as word of mouth goes far!!!”

“It was great. I arrived and met my salesperson within 15 minutes. She examined my car and determined it my estimate was accurate. I agreed with the estimate and we signed the paperwork and I was issued a check. It was fast and easy.”

“I never expected to sale my vehicle in such a seamless, streamlined and STRESS FREE process. John N. Was my consultant and was very courteous, kept me informed of each step. Carmax honored their quote price and I left with payment same day. Also not forget the courtesy Lyft ride back home. Great experience!”
