“Dealership makes me not like Mercedes. It is the little things that matter. For example, they allege to offer services like a car wash but the last 5+ times we have taken our car there for the big $$$ annual service there is always some excuse as to why they can't do it. So 5+ times they said they would wash our car and 5+ times they didn't. Not a good look. For the money I spend there a car wash, like they claim to offer, seems only appropriate. Especially when they say they are going to!
My advice is that when they say they are going to do something be skeptical and have no expectations.”

“I can honestly say that after a recent visit for a fuel line replacement, they did not wreck my bank account like I anticipated. And that's after they made recommendations. Jackie was very nice throughout the process. So as far as these recent negative reviews about the new owner and staff, God must've been watching closely that day because I was treated fine.”

“First time buying a car and I think it couldn’t have been more of a breeze. Jeff H. and J.D were both very friendly, personable, and straight to the point.
I worked with Jeff over the last few weeks to get a good deal on a very solid and reliable used car. He kept me updated on the status of the vehicle and gave me all the information I would need to make an informed decision about my purchase.
J.D in the finance/purchase office was great as well. He walked me through the options of any add-ons I could choose and explained them all thoroughly so I knew what I would be buying or declining. He suggested things he thought would benefit me but never tried to push me one way or another to choose something I wasn’t completely confident in. Also great sense of humor.
Overall I had a great experience purchasing with Mercedes of Charlottesville. They have a great team.”

“Avoid Mercedes-Benz of Charlottesville like the bubonic plague.
This service center is the definition of incompetence. During a routine service visit on my GLE350 (B3 $1300) , they damaged components on my vehicle and then had the audacity to try to charge me for the very parts they broke. To make matters worse, my car was returned to me covered in grease—completely unacceptable for any dealership, let alone one representing Mercedes-Benz.
I was also charged for new windshield wipers that were never replaced. Only after repeated complaints to the most incompetent service manager I’ve ever dealt with, Danielle, did they finally acknowledge the issue. They eventually picked up my car and corrected some of the problems, but never replaced the interior trim they damaged, which they conveniently ignored. They replaced the driver side window switch under warranty and used a screw driver to pry it out, damaging the trim.
As the cherry on top of this disaster, shortly after leaving the dealership I received a high-level oil alarm—they overfilled the engine oil, creating yet another issue that could have caused serious damage. (According to the printout, it was OK) If it was OK, I would’ve never got the dash indicator that it wasn’t.
This place shows zero attention to detail, zero accountability, and zero respect for their customers or their vehicles. If you care about your car even a little, do yourself the utmost favor and take it anywhere else. Due to the lack of professionalism by their service center, I have made a service appointment at another Mercedes-Benz dealership to redo the entire service that they just did as I do not trust that anything was done that I paid for.”

“5 stars is not enough! One of the things I loathe is dealing with dealerships and "bait and switch" tactics. Find the perfect car, price online is what you are comfortable with, show up and it ends up being thousands more because it's not the third weekend of the month in a blizzard during a leap year to get that price.
This dealership was upfront, advertised price was what I paid, no gimmicks, no switches, no nonsense. Drove over 2 hours for this vehicle, what I wanted in the hard to find exterior and interior color combo with extremely low miles for a used vehicle. From the get go the staff was professional, and courteous. Carmen promptly answered questions over the phone, and booked my visit appointment. As we arrived the next morning, Jeff H literally walked out the door and greeted us by name, had the vehicle right up front for us to see. Was very patient during our test drive explaining all the advanced features of the vehicle without seeming like we were stupid for not knowing how to operate the vehicles systems. Coming from much older model vehicles everything was different/new to us. Any time I had a question he didn't have an exact answer for he went and found out for us without making it seem like a burden. Other than a few minor technical glitches (not their fault) the purchase was smooth and quick. Jason P in finance/paperwork worked with all my needs for warranties and prepaid maintenance efficiently. He walked us through all the documents explaining each and every detail, making sure we understood before allowing us to sign each individual document. Other dealerships I've dealt with rush you through and make mistakes (intentionally or not)(caught before signing luckily), not in this case - when the numbers didn't match he pulled out a calculator to figure out what was going on, jumped on the phone, and solved it quickly. While they prepped and washed the vehicle we snuck off to lunch, and returned to a beautiful work of art ready for us to drive home.
I can't recommend this place enough after just 1 visit. Well worth the 2+ hour drive.
If you want a quality vehicle and an amazing purchase experience at a dealership, look no further. When I have any future vehicle needs, they will be my first stop.”
