“EDIT: They apologized and offered to send me a check for the paint protection and to cancel that part of the transaction. I appreciate that.
The price of the car was marked up by $1000 after I called and made an appointment to see it. They were “nice enough” to honor the KBB price, but wouldn’t go much further down. Just know to check the carfax and KBB price and know the exact number. We also were told the paint protection and anti theft was required. There were able to take off one, but couldn’t do both. The paperwork on the paint protection states that it is not required to complete the sale. Neither is the anti-theft. Both are pointless markups.
I THINK we ended up with a good car, it’s just annoying to have to catch lies to get one.”

“Worked with Valeriya on a 2017 Yukon XL. I came in from out of state, so I really appreciated that she respected my time, especially after a three-hour drive in. She had the vehicle prepped and ready before I arrived. We handled almost the entire deal via text that day before, which was a massive convenience for my schedule. I appreciated her demeanor and the way the transaction was handled. Finance was pre-arranged as well, and the review of the information on-site was thorough.
Highly recommend. And for those concerned about some of the reviews on the conditions of the vehicles: they are used vehicles. A dealer isn't driving them daily. We have had a few quirks pop up with my purchase, but nothing a dealer would have noticed if they weren't driving it every day. That is the risk, but one I can appreciate and respect.”

“Just purchased a vehicle from them and it was by far the quickest process I have ever experienced at a dealership. We were able to get our new family mini van home before Christmas after some fair negotiations. Quick and easy process to get the keys and nice people throughout our time shopping.”

“Had a great experience with Mustafa. No rush and transparent process, allowed us to get a pre-purchase inspection and ended up doing all the work needed (mostly topping off fluids but had one slightly bigger issue with power window system) onsite for free before purchasing. Weren’t constantly calling and emailing me multiple times a day like other dealerships, which was great. Two weeks in and very happy with our purchase so far.”

“Went looking for a used Subaru. When we got there the car was out front waiting for us. I thought it was nice, my husband was curious. We drove & liked it, and were willing to overlook slight cosmetic dent. We first had another to go look at. Nazariy, who I now see left a review of a car purchase he made this September from there…said he’s worked there 7 years, was very friendly and helpful. We really liked him.
We test drove the other across town before deciding to go back for the one from Carmel Auto Gallery.
When we got back, Nazariy greeted us out front. “Unfortunately for you, the car is out with another driver right now. If they decide to turn it down, you have the option to purchase. But lucky for you, they’ve already driven 5 cars today.”
As I walked around looking at other cars while waiting, low & behold we found the one we’d driven parked in the lot out back. I grabbed his attention and just assumed it was an oversight.
We talked and decided we wanted the car.
After starting the paperwork, Nazariy told us he would be right back. He was back and forth between us and somewhere in the back quite frequently, until he didn’t come back for 40+ minutes.
My husband asked an employee at another desk. She called. In about 5 minutes a man came out to us and said he was the manager. He said that they were switching the battery. We were confused and he said it just wouldn’t start. My husband said that concerned him and the manager said “but it’s good for you- you’ll have a brand new battery.” When we said we weren’t interested the guy just happily said, “Okay” and turned and walked away.
We walked out dumbfounded, and scratching our heads.
I wasn’t going to spend the energy writing a review, but since I googled Nazariy’s name and Carmel Auto Gallery, and found that he left his own review on BBB, and they responded.
At best it’s a conflict of interest for him to leave his own review if he did indeed purchase a car from there. At worst, it’s flat out deception…adding fire to the stigma “used car salesmen”. Bummer, for sure, and I hope young Nazariy develops better ethics before graduating college. :(”
