“After purchasing a vehicle from Earnest at another Chevrolet dealer in Nashville NC. in late June of this year I was quite confident that he could help make my next purchase a success. But before that I referred a few friends who purchased new vehicles. A week before my birthday I was interested in a car that he had on his profile, I got in touch and we met up. That car was not an option so as | stood to leave Leonard came up, introduced himself and asked me what car l'd be interested in. I told him a "hunter green dodge Rt" and within 5 min he had the exact car pulled up, almost like magic and we went from there. I was told the car would come from out of state and be ready by my birthday.
On my birthday Earnest and I met, the car was there and I was assured the car had been inspected and was ready to role. The next morning I had to go back up to Iron Oak to finish some paperwork so I took that opportunity to speak on an issue I noticed while reversing the vehicle, it made a popping noise. That was concerning, I mentioned along with another issue the undercarriage was loose and coming down, I was assured another one would be ordered and got a phone call to come back that Tuesday morning to get it fixed. After sitting there for 2 hrs I was told the piece that they ordered didn't fit only to be told 5 minutes later that a piece was not ordered and they took the piece off of my car that I traded which was a dodge charger, that had a smaller frame than the Rt so I didn't Fit.
I was assured that another piece was ordered that I am still waiting to be replaced today a month exactly from my purchase. As I waited for a response I started having feelings of trading it, I was uncomfortable with the way things were going so I decided to bring the car to a certified Dodge dealer and when I did I was told and shown that my fluids hadn't been changed, oil hadn't even been changed or the filter and whoever performed the last oil change apparently rushed the oil pouring and it leaked into the filters and was actually over filled. With a list of other issues that aren't major but can become major if not attended to immediately. I drive for work so this was shocking news because I need my vehicle, I contacted the sales representative immediately and sent videos from the certified dealer explaining what was going on. I told him l'd be there shortly with the paperwork and he assured me the issue would be handled. When I got there Leonard the nice gentleman who introduced himself and found the car didn't even look me in the face when I greeted him.He just walked me to the service area, the mechanic looked me in the face smiled and asked me why I was there which was confusing because the sales rep told me he let him know I was on my way, said he explained my concerns and they would be addressed. After sitting there for 2 hrs I was told that they'd be in contact and assured I could in fact drive my car without any further damage occurring (which I'm not sure of) because my oil still wasn't changed. Jim was amazing!!
At this point I'm waiting to hear from the salesman or mechanic, I will edit this review when all is said and done.
Update: Recieved a call from Earnest on 9/28/25 stating the service guy would contact me yesterday or today. Nothing yesterday but we’ll see about today…
Update: I spoke to Leonard on Friday 10/3, expressed my concerns and had a meaningful conversation. Feeling much better about Iron Oak.Dropping my car off.
Update: I’m at take 5 and my oil filter and air filter wasn’t changed ever neither was my oil because the oil cap was stripped. My oil and air filter is now finally clean. The drive shaft is good. But the honesty and integrity is terrible at Iron Oak.”

“Bought my car June 26, 2025 it’s been back 4x already, once for almost 2 months (to replace the Transfer case)
I’ve met with the owner Leo, who further insulted my intelligence by trying to offer me almost 10k less than what I purchased my car for on a trade in to rectify selling me a pos to begin with, that still requires more repairs!
I feel in love with my car instantly online. It sweetened the deal that it was close by vs a Raleigh car lot. I haven’t gotten to enjoy my car yet with all the issues.
Upon test drive the awd malfunction light was on, since repaired by iron oak (long story), took them 2 months to repair.
There was a gash in my bumper (iron oak repaired after a fight)
As soon as I got it back it still drove like horribly. I found out my tires were manufactured in 21 (my palisade is a 22) the tires had significantly worn due to an alignment issue( see pics) these tires are also rated for 60k miles, unsure how that passed inspection when I purchased my car 2 days after inspection and it had 67k miles on it. But I bought all new tires and had the alignment done. (Iron oak will not reimburse any of this, and stand behind that the vehicle was inspected properly even after seeing pics)
It still was making noises and driving poorly so I met with Leo and Brian (service manager) they advised basically they’d fix my car or allow me to trade in (didn’t mention I wouldn’t get but a fraction back on my trade in)
So I took it back again for a diagnostic. Now pending a differential flush and replacing wheel bearings.
All of this could have been avoided if 1 the car was inspected prior to being sold. 2 the car was inspected after the repairs were made. 3 open communication was given from day one.
I have no doubt I was preyed on as a female.
How this place is still in business is beyond me
PSA they need a better GM and some folks that will double check behind one another to make sure the cars they are selling are actually safe to drive.
IF YOU’RE THINKING ABOUT BUYING A USED CAR, this isn’t the place….RUN!”
