“I had a frustrating and disappointing experience trying to buy a vehicle from Joe Machens Nissan. After expressing serious interest in a vehicle, I was told by their sales manager Scott that there was no room to negotiate on price at all, not even partially.
When I declined to pay the asking price and said I was walking away, I continued to be contacted multiple times asking if I was still interested. When I finally responded to one of those follow ups, I never received a reply.
I ended up purchasing a similar vehicle at another dealership and had the best car buying experience of my life, treated with honesty, respect, and fair negotiation throughout. The contrast was stark.
I would not recommend Joe Machens Nissan and will not be doing business with them again.”

“The staff were very very professional and courteous. I had my truck in for a small oil leak. They replaced a power steering cooler hose, but didn’t stop the leak. I took it in again and they found the leak was from a seal. They ordered and replaced the seal at their own expense. I will recommend Machens Nissan to others and will continue doing business with them. Special thanks to Cody and Jayden.”

“Broke down on highway near Columbia. They fixed the car which took over a month. Repair was completed and car broke down within 150 miles due to thermastat problem. Of course Nisson said it was not relaited to engine & Turbo replacement. But the real frustration is using thier text app and not getting a response other than, we will look into it. All I asking is if the transmission was drained as part of the repair. Just want to update my records. Overall poor communication.”

“I had been in contact with this dealership since February and visited multiple times prepared to move forward on a 2024 Nissan Rogue SL (Certified).
A $10,000 trade-in value was confirmed multiple times and described as not contingent on inspection. When I returned the following day as requested, that value was reduced to $9,000 without a clear vehicle-specific explanation.
During that same visit, my vehicle was documented at over 100,000 miles, although it was still under that threshold at the time. This distinction can impact valuation and was not clearly addressed.
I was also told the vehicle price was “firm,” but approximately a month later the price was reduced.
At one point, communication stopped despite our continued interest, and we had to re-initiate contact. After reconnecting without a trade-in, we were told the vehicle had been sold.
Additionally, the remote start on the certified vehicle was not functioning during our visit, which raised questions about inspection and readiness.
Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and made it difficult to move forward with confidence. I would recommend documenting everything carefully and verifying all terms in writing.
Update: The dealership responded, but did not address the specific concerns outlined above.”

“I was very lucky to have assistance from Casey Babcock in buying a car! He made what could’ve been a stressful experience very easy and quick. I highly recommend him if you are thinking of coming here :) ✨”
